Samy, I thought there was definite improvement in Saab today. I have enjoyed Jordan's whole-hearted efforts and love his humility but that shoulder charge coming back from suspension was really disappointing. I would give Saab a protracted run at the position to gain confidence and prove himself. Look at what has happened to players like Lomax, Clune and Kerr once given a regular spot.

I can see what you are saying he ran over 100 meters as well.
JP is a great back up

They were playing the Dragons , not the Chooks , upset win , so a couple of wins against nothing teams and we move on and forget the last 6 years with this bloke .... Happy for you , but not for me ....
When did I say I was happy with him. I didn't mention the last 6 years. Read before you type

Interesting reading many of the posts here during the game and afterwards.

Its easy to look back and bag a post made during a game. In real time, we react compulsively. Heck i do all the time.

I was critical of Saab and Sims, and stand by those criticisms. Doesn't mean i dont rate them as footy players. Sims is a powerhouse player who has brain snaps too often. Saab needs to show me more. Big, agile, etc but esp in the first half seemed very vulnerable.

Bottom line, we can be realistic that the win was ugly, against a very average first grade side and simultaneously enjoy winning.

Personally, I've given up on the notion of "losing" for the better good. I think Mary will not be coach next year, and can't bring myself anymore to watch a game hoping a loss will trigger a change.

I enjoyed the second half. I enjoyed winning.

So, fook the Dogs, and bring on the Sharks.

Considering the dogs always lift when they verse us and we normally play horribly against them, credit to the dragons in the last 15 mins to keep their composure and lift in defence to win the game in the end.
Exactly it. Played safe and steady in the second half and gave away just 2 points. Our defence picked up in the second and we did have some lucky breaks but that's part and parcel of the game. The rub of the green didn't seem to go our way in the first half and if we went for the penalty goal to make it 12 nil and we did not make those mistakes, then we could have won more convincingly.
