They aren't but our gun backrow will still tear them apart out wide

It is so easy to come on here and express the view the Knights are shit, they have nothing other than Ponga and we will win by the length of the home straight.

It's what you do. Every game same thing, our opposition are shit, we will win easily.

Thankfully most of us are more realistic and acknowledge the NRL is a pretty tough competition with no easy games. Taken nothing for granted.

I've said it most games this year because we have had a very easy draw (sharks and cows games clear exceptions)

The point is there are NO easy games. We are not the real deal, we have our strengths but in equal measures we have our deficiencies as well. They are a tough unit, yes weakened by not having Mitchell Pearce but while you may think our outside backs will blow them away there would be many other's who think otherwise. A leopard (or Panther) cannot change it's spot's and you will always be a glass half empty supporter as opposed to being a glass half full. That's just the way your are.

Just maybe we should be favourites. Just maybe we have a better overall roster. Just maybe what does that really mean. Nothing.

Honestly, Nathan Brown has done an admirable job in recent times in transforming the Knights into a highly competitive unit and anyone who thinks they are easy beats knows nothing about the game.

Every game is critical, we know that. But this game is ever more critical. Steal the two points leading into a home game against the West Tigers, which is obviously winnable and potentially we could find ourselves on 14 points, beat the Tigers at home and we are sitting on 16 points just short of the half way point of the season. Despite our injury woes the next two games will have a crucial bearing on our season before a tough game against the Dragons.

I don't think this game will be an easy one but there certainly are easy games during the year.

Titans are the only dud roster. So lots of mid table quality teams
Eels have one of the weakest packs ive seen in ages

Eels and Roosters packs are soft as butter on a hot tin roof.

That him and Maloney were doing extra work to get their defence fixed. So that would say he is playing and they are working on things not just waiting til Cleary comesback to fix it.

He also seems sure Luai will play. Not sure how they will work that him and Katoa on the bench

Good news Yeo is fit and they're working hard. Anywhere to watch or read the interview?

I read it on NRL app then they had an interview on Panthers website which mentioned Luai

Thanks mate. I'll have a look. Really excited for Luai to get a run but hearing Yeo is good ranks just a bit higher. It'd be just weird not having Yeo in the team. I'd miss him and so would the team I suspect.

Don't know what to make of the Knights this year. The praise they've gotten while being pummeled in several games this year led me to see them as overrated, understandable given how rough their last few years were. They've hung in well considering they've lost Pearce though and Ponga is a genuine piece of class.

Well have to be there to play of course, but there's no reason to think we won't be. We haven't been blown away in any of our losses so if we're consistent in showing up for this one I think we've got a bit too much class, even with players out.

Like every one else, very interested to see how we line up and agree with those who think this would be a perfect to see how Luai.l handles first grade. Early season after a good start one game before Cleary returns, a position we'll need to cover during Origin and up against a workmanlike pack. I trust Hooks timing when it comes to blooding youngsters and I think he'd be on a winner here. Reckon the members email touting a debutant in this game is a bit of a giveaway too ;).
