Just give him a simple training KPI. He has to run onto footballs covered in soap and hit tackle bags. If he catches 100 of those consecutively each day then he can be considered for selection on the bench.

true, but i’d rather that than edwards passing it behind the players and handing the ball over

A big NO to this attitude. I would rather take a crack at having a probable loss, but a chance to win, rather than play it safe for a near certain loss. Nothing Ventured = nothing gained.

I've said before most teams have a third playmaker in either their fullback or hooker. The fullbacks/hookers we have used this season have combined for 1 try assists.

Katoa alone would have 4 if our players could get the ball over the line without dropping it and Maloney plays the ball straight.

Nathan with a MOTM Masterclass guiding us to our first win in months and parra’s first lost at Bankwest.

Then Freddy being relieved and announcing Nathan as NSW #7 next Monday afternoon.

Kikau needs to be on the bench - he’s not an 80 min player atm and his defence early in the game is highly concerning.

Still cannot understand why a local derby is played on a working school Thursday night. Dumb

Honeymoon period for bankwest stadium is over now IMO. both teams are down on form, and being a Thursday night game, I think parra will struggle to get 15k, and while there is a new stadium to attend, you can forgive penrith fans for not being fully motivated to go and watch us ‘attempt’ to football

struggle to get 15k at the old stadium probably being a thursday night,

already over 5k GA tickets sold in the Sterling stand alone - behind the post north side (doesnt include the bottom tier terrace which gets filled up).

Will be surprised if we don't get well over 22k

Hopefully some of you Penrith fans come and check it out

I hope DWZ is named at fullback this week, he isn’t perfect but has done an acceptable job, offers a bit more than the other options.

A huge game from luai would at least give us some hope for next year, I would also give Lui - Toso and Pua a chance over the next few games.

DWZ
To’o Blake Whare Aekins
Luai Cleary
Tamou Katoa Leota
Kikau Martin
JFH
RCG, lui-toso, Sele, Mansour

We need more decoys and some decent line running to improve, everything just goes left to right or to Kikau. Hopefully Luai can bring a bit of unpredictability without over doing it.

I'd drop DWZ before I'd have him at FB. He has been poor Aekins should be the FB. What has DWZ done to earn being moved?

has one of those passes actually stuck this year? haven’t seen any indication that it’s going to stick any time soon either. aekins was isp player of the year for a reason

Not much lately but I didn’t think he was to bad at fullback.
He at least brings himself into the attacking line as a bit of a threat.
Aekins is solid but we need more than that, points are the problem.

Even if they do stick half the time there is nothing on anyway.

Dallin was poor last week but his best footy this season has been at fullback and centre.

No one this year (including DWZ) has gone close to the form DWZ was in last year. Although a huge part of that was certainty that he would play there each week.

I like the idea of letting him play the season out at fullback. Try to get him to work on a passing game. In his games at fullback he was trying to tap it on and spread the ball... IMO he can improve on that to be atleast a 6/10 passer. Never going to be Moylan quality... but he can become decent. Not all fullbacks are that great at passing.... they're mostly just solid executing good set plays.

Edwards had 3 errors last week, again. He has been the worst of the fullbacks by a loooong way.
To be fair to him... one of them was the collision with Dallin which was a huge mistake by both.

Cant believe neither called the footy or noticed the other.

107 m ave a game. 11 errors in 10 games (That doesn't count the running into Edwards on Friday). 2 linebreaks (same as Aekins). 34 passes (JFH has 51) 1 try assist.

DWZ has hardly set the world on fire attack wise either. DWZ has a higher ceiling but like Mansour and RCG it isn't happening in the top grade. Preparing for next season getting him going is a must

If Ivan likes a ball playing FB. Which history has shown then why move him? Best get him in a role going forward and sticking too it

10 errors in 6 games, not counting the miss tackle V the titans that cost us the game. That is not good enough at all. You cannot keep picking Edwards, he gets manhandled when he catches the ball in any case. He is the biggest net negative in our side this season.

How did we go when he wasn't in the side? Biggest negative is a hard call with so many problems
