He's our fullback for the next 5 years. Just getting reps in and doing well

What are his advantages over Edwards at the back (outside of speed, obviously)? And why is Crichton playing there in Edwards absence?

Sorry if it sounds like an interrogation :) I've never seen Staines play fullback obviously. You don't have to answer

It's becoming a trend that the left side is good while the going is good and it's highlights time, but when a game is in the balance it's the right side that makes it happen for us.

I implied something similar the other week. It is why I find it hard to get too disappointed we are losing Burton as a centre. That whole side has patches where it looks good but struggles for the hard stuff.

The right is opposite. Works hard but rarely in the highlights

I haven't seen him enough (didn't watch last season), but what is the consensus on Staines? Is he a good winger? He seems so slight to me, so I'm interested in the opinions of those who know him better.
Well he should have been jamming in on the Bulldogs try and forcing them to execute one more pass.

There is a higher level of fitness needed to play fullback as we seen by crighton first game there each game he has got better
Stains at the moment has dodgy hamstrings the feeling may be he is not just there at the moment to play fullback

It certainly wasn’t free flowing the policing of the 10 metres was really appalling.

Our defence was really good particularly that period in the first half when the dogs had four or five sets on our line.

Credit to the Bulldogs they tried really hard and made us work for it.

Six tries to one can’t win by 50 every week, another two points. Happy days.
