Deserves it. f**king Hetherington-level moronic.

Both penalties hetho copped were rubbish. Literally nothing in them.

He is unfairly targeted by the refs. Don't care what anyone on this forum says. Jack 110% gets judged differently to other players.

Not a Barrett fan but he was spot on in his press conference.

It's becoming a trend that the left side is good while the going is good and it's highlights time, but when a game is in the balance it's the right side that makes it happen for us.

Haha rubbish.

The left side has delivered for probably 80% of our streak. Wake up.

Momo was good today but he he was good for momo. Critta has been better than him on the right in his limited time there.

Our left is lethal and is the most dangerous combo in the comp.

An off game doesn't change that.

Luai has been off for a month now if we are honest

Only thing underwhelming in our side this year has been kikau but the thing so many people miss is the threat he posses without the ball.

He has been average this year but we have score so many tries from teams stacking up on him which creates space for everyone else.

Hard to complain about anyone else in the squad.

Can't win by 50 every week.

We are 12 and 0. Flying high and have plenty of blokes capable of stepping up come origin.

At full strength I think our right side is as strong as our left. Critta has looked so good there and he knows how to set up his outside man.

We have been lucky with injuries.

Really couldn't be in a better spot coming into origin.

Was Melbourne just an off game as well?

It certainly wasn’t free flowing the policing of the 10 metres was really appalling.

Our defence was really good particularly that period in the first half when the dogs had four or five sets on our line.

Credit to the Bulldogs they tried really hard and made us work for it.

Six tries to one can’t win by 50 every week, another two points. Happy days.

The 1st paragraph sums it well. That is the standard game you get from a slow ruck

Nope. Watch the replay mate. Definitely not straight to the head.

Bounced up off upper chest onto head. Minimal force. I watched on kayo and I promise that weren't direct head strikes.

I'm not talking about what Hetherington did today - I'm talking about Hetherington the human being without two brain cells to rub together

Neither am I mate. Im no heatherington fan or bulldogs fan or Barrett fan.

But you have to be seriously one eyed to not see that he is in the bad books of the refs and never getting out.

Taumalolos high shot last week would of been 110% a straight send off if it was Jack. It was a swinging arm direct hit to the nose....

Just because he plays with aggression doesn't mean he's dumb or dirty.

I've never rated Jack but one thing I'd certain.. he cops unfair treatment from the refs

He created the reputation by continually tackling guys in the head. No one to blame but himself.

For the game in general the dogs were giving a lot of leniency in the ruck. So many 6 agains should've been called which really slowed things down.

I was at the game, haven’t seen any replay yet so can’t really comment on Jacks high shots today, but he is a marked man. Most of his high shots over his NRL days have been lazy arms, over enthusiasm, trying too hard. I’d be surprised if today’s were any different.

Great crowd today for a 3pm Saturday kick off.

The game in my opinion was ruined as a spectacle by the referee.

The frustration in the western stand was reaching boiling point, it was really hard to watch.

His policing of the 10 was non existent and there was little opportunity for any free flowing ball movement.

It really was a shame for the crowd in attendance so I can only imagine how it may have looked watching on TV.

Who was officiating?

Matt Noyan. Newbie. No nothing about him but when the review of his performance is done he needs an uppercut because seriously his policing of the 10 was as bad as I have seen for some time. It wasn’t even players three and four wide of the play the ball who were off side, every single play the players either side if him were standing two to three metres in front of him. It made no difference to the outcome of the game it just ruined the speed of the game and hence as a spectacle it wasn’t great to watch. It was just a shame for a great crowd.

Absolutely terrible game thanks to a completely clueless referee letting anything go. No footy was allowed to be played.

Easy win still. But that was the worst quality game in a long time.

I don’t think any team outside the top 6 can do more than the Dogs did today. They were committed but had neither the class nor energy to really threaten us and endure up being blown out. I felt extremely comfortable even when it was 4-0 and they had several sets on our line. It's played out this way several times this year now.

Hard to know if games like todays will hurt or help us in the only portion of the season that's likely to matter.

Also, even though depth is always a good thing, its especially important this year given the high tackle keno we're watching atm. Leota in particular might be in for a few weeks rest.

Sometimes these things don't show up on TV but it was a Rookie ref clearly in over his head. Instead of pointing to guys in front of him. Blow a penalty
