He brought an energy in his debut that no one else in our squad was offering at that point. He shouldn't be left out of our starting 17. I'd trust him in the middle or either edge right now.

Yep energy is brilliand and it’s controlled as well he doesn’t even react to a
Headbutt. That footwork suprised me, he was a handful out there on the edge.

I’d be starting Martin on the other side after that effort, if he can play that side.
Given the way Martin went on the left, the lines he was running and his left foot step, I'm wondering whether Kikau can play right side. Yeo to lock, JFH up front with Kenny (once upgraded) & Tamou - starts to look like an NRL pack.

Kikau needs to come from the bench, Martins defence just shows how poor kikau’s defence is, he is an impact player, need to use kiks at the right time.

Refs kept manly is that game, the nitpicking and shockers that we’re given to Manly, all at the time when they needed it the most... Ivan should be mentioning that in the post match

2 from 2 - weekend hasn’t been ruined, and the panthers just may be turning a corner in 2019 :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Yep I’d be finding a way to give him another run there. I’ve liked yeo at lock the few times I’ve seen him there.

Forgot to wrap Too, he was brilliant again.

Cummins sent up the obstruction against Martin and called a strip when the ball didn’t even leave Marty’s hand. He’s a disgrace.

I was convinced we were going to lose in the end due to a Cummins howler. And we did come close. The guy shouldn’t be near first grade. He is abysmal. And not just when reffing us. How he did nothing about the JWH late hit on Ponga last game still baffles me. I hope Cleary complains.

Yeo also needs all the love. Clearly playing injured and out of position. Anyone not picking him as our captain is clueless

Yep. I don't like him at center but you can only play where you are picked and he pushed through for the team despite clearly being hampered. Contained Walker for most of the game.

That was my favorite moment. Cool head on the young guy.

He actually reminds me of Hetherington a bit. Stocky, tons of leg drive, deceptively quick and very aggressive in defense. Difference is Hetherington would have gotten sent off tonight. Martin was always in control.

I'm happy as a pig in shit to get the win, although it looks like Grant is going to be missing for some time. Cleary mentioned in the presser that we did over 500 tackles.

All the good performances have already been mentioned but my 2 favourite parts of our game tonight were the lack of errors and the start of some decoy running in attack.

While we are obviously not looking super smooth with ball in hand we asked a lot more questions than we have for most of the year.
Both halves took the line on a bit and we were a tad more unpredictable.
It was a big improvement as a team, and it felt like a proper “team” effort.

A shame they couldn't go on with it from 15-0. Winning by 20+ was on the cards, instead its only 3 points.

Surely Yeo won't be in the centres next week against the Roosters. He started to get done for speed in the 2nd half.

Depends who comes in for Latrell but the long turnaround will help

Just home from the game and I have to say, without the benefit of any replays at the ground, there were some really questionable decisions this evening.

Great to get the win which we deserved albeit probably should have had the game in the bag and not had to endure the painful last ten.

Some really good performances tonight even if we are still a long way off where we should be.

Bit of Adam Docker about Martin... but better hopefully.
Docker had no running game. But the guy could stop a Semi in its tracks when he hit right.

Martin looks like Jake Trbojevic to me. Without the same ball skills..but has the same agressive technique based game. Similar looking build too.

Whrn we have a fit dide we csn probably push JFH into ghr fflnt row:

8. JFH
10. Tamou
11. Kikau
12. Martin / Yeo
13. Yeo / Martin

I remember there being talk of Yeo shifting to lock if we could. But Martin is probably better suited. Either way... Martin is giving us a nice headache.
