Hopgood is just crazy good this year in the 13. Setting up tries would be up the top in offloads and plays long minutes.

We've had two and a half years now where near our best squad has been able to take the field most weeks.

Even though they were busted late last year they were able to play. If our luck holds for another fifteen games it'll be great however we should be getting the next man up experience. It could be the difference between a deer in headlights come finals and someone comfortable in their role.

I know the NFL is a different beast - but when they have massive games come from nowhere, they change the timeslot, and make it the Sunday Night Football game - which is primetime.

NRL should have the ability to do the same. Panthers v Cows Friday 8:00, Broncos v Titans Friday 6:00. Boom!

Being a QLD team it would rate well up north too. As you said though, when the schedule was done this game would have looked like a non event.

Depends when you do it. Even a 2 hour difference can really mess with people's plans if you do it late enough. Given this has only really became a blockbuster since the Cows trounced Melbourne I think it would have been enormously disruptive for too many people.

The game is already too skewed towards TV. Better option would be to not have so many games in shitty timeslots that only work for having something on while you're getting dinner ready.

Nine don't care that it's two teams at the top of their game and the table, and that the product will (most likely) be better. Broncos means ratings. Especially since they are going well too. That is all they care about.
