Too easy. At the game and still can't resist a sly look on LU....
You posted the whole game you halfwit, get a life instead of living on your computer all day.

Oh and i'm stuck in a car park if that's alright with you, or do i have no life for committing my night to support my team?

Edwards does need a little chat. Trying to rip out that ball would've been a penalty and then loses it twice when we just had to settle
I think Edwards has become a massive target for the referees but to be fair he brings it on himself with all the stupid stuff that he does. I mean what is with all this stuff about hugging players when they drop the ball? What is surprising is that he is a decent forward when he concentrates?

Overall, I thought Parra deserved to win the game and if it hadn't been for some terrible refereeing the scoreline would have been a lot different. In saying that, I think what is concerning for you guys is that took far too long for Parra to put us away. Realistically the score should have been 30-0 going in at half time but you guys blew quite a few chances. I know it sounds cynical but the fact that we were so lethargic made you Parramatta look a lot better side than what they really are. When you are getting carved up by Kaysa Pritchard you know you have got problems! Nevertheless, Parra can only play what is in front of them and they certainly deserved to win tonight.

He'd want more metres per run and more tackle busts for his output to be elite....but yeah, he's fking 23. He has a massive motor and he's all heart. Stats like that are at the upper end of NRL middle forwards.

And he owned Paulo and Boyd in defence last week as well. Started the year huge, just a little lull for a few games
I can't see how anyone can not claim Woods is elite seeing as though he is an encumbent Origin and Kangaroo middle forward. Tonight Alvaro made pretty much the same metres per run than Woods, more tackles per game and obviously less missed tackles.

I'm not saying that one game makes him better than Woods but Alvaro will continue to improve and become more consistent. I think he will become a player that produces very similar output to Woods and at a fraction of the price.

Well played Parra for sticking with him!!

No I agree on Alvaro. I just don't think Woods' output is genuinely elite. He's a definite rep quality player though, but to me elite is the BEST of the rep quality players (given there are probably 15 players you could pick for the NSW pack legitimately).

Alvaro, tonight, was at rep level easily. And he has been a few times this season, although I don't know that he'll ever be the kind of player they pick for origin. Woods is a good comparison though, or Tolman. He's a player with a huge motor.

Fair points but Woods is good enough to be picked as a middle forward in the current number 1 team so I'd say he's at least in the top 5 players in his position (noting JWH and Bromwich are kiwis) in the world. That's elite for mine.

Even rep sides need elite 'toilers' and I think Alvaro can be as good as the Kangaroo incumbent in a few years.

Very smart recruitment and retention from the eels.

I agree massively that Woods is not an elite forward. In years gone by he would have been an elite forward but by modern standards he is just an above average front rower. The reason for this is that to be an elite front rower in the modern game you need to have another string to your bow other than the ability to simply cart the ball up. For example, Andrew Fifita possesses outstanding footwork, James Graham has ball-playing ability, Sam Burgess and Taumalolo have the ability to break through tackles; Aaron Woods simply just makes metres and has a decent work rate. Basically, he excels in what I would call the Paul Gallen role where he plays up the middle and gets his team down the park. Statistically he is very impressive but in terms of his ability to break open games and have an impact he is very limited.

Woods' work rate on both sides of the ruck allows players like Fifita to do what he does. Don't understimate the value of a player who consistently brings numbers to a tackle to prevent offloads.

If you don't trust me, believe the current NSW and Australian selectors and Kangaroos.

Yep, we may have taken too long to put you away, but also considering our halfback only joined the club last week, our other half is injured, we have a centre playing 5/8 (who is only in his second full year of NRL) a hooker playing his first year as a starter and a fullback who is in only his 12th or so NRL game in that position and only just back from injury !! And only yeah, that was only our spine's 2nd game together!! Shown up but such an inexperienced spine is bloody embarrassing!!

So really we probably have one of least experienced spines in the comp!!

What is concerning about Souths is that you have an origin half and hooker along with a fullback that most rate as a future star that deserves a pay rise, an extremely experienced 5/8 and a hooker on the bench that some rate as an origin hooker and yet your attack was f**king shocking !!!

And yes we deserved the win!!

Thanks for coming!!

I'm not saying he is not a good player nor that he isn't valuable. However, let me ask you this: if Sam Burgess, Jason Taumalolo, James Graham or Jessie Bromwich were eligible for NSW do you think Aaron Woods would still get picked? Its not so much what does that is the problem its what the players that I mentioned above can offer in addition to what Woods can that sees him fall outside the elite category. If he had played in the Shane Webcke or Glenn Lazarus era he could have been one of the finest front rowers to play the game. Hes the wrong front rower in the wrong era.

You've hit the nail on the head. On paper Souths look one of the most formidable teams in the competition! You can add to that list arguable one of the best young back rowers in the competition in the Angus Crichton! Most teams would kill to have some of the players we've got. However, games aren't won on paper and the facts of the matter are that Souths simply aren't coming away with points during periods that they are dominating games. This has been the story of our season! You can look at last weeks game again Melbourne - we should have easily beaten the Storm given how much we dominated them in the second half yet we couldn't score a try!

I hate pin pointing one player but I think the buck stops with Adam Reynolds. The guy is lucky to be in first grade the way he is playing! Our forwards have been playing well for the most part, as has our hooker but Adam Reynolds is in the team to capitalise on their good work with his last tackle options and they are so bad at the moment its not funny. I mean the guy is putting kicks out on the full, bombing down the oppositions throat, giving away seven tackle sets, making errors when he gets his hands on the ball early in the tackle count...he isn't even standing in the right position on some of his last tackle players. I thought we played our best footy in the game against the Broncos with Cody Walker and Sutton in the halves and I hope we go back to that line up next week.

Jeez some of you blokes carry on....Souths were always going to come back at us. We've gotta defend better than they did
Souths conceded one f**king penalty in the second half. In the first half they conceded four to our five. In the second half it was one to five. Bullshit one sided reffing in the second half.
