It is a Catch 22 situation for us no doubt. We win and Mary gets accolades, we lose and Mary might get some negative media attention which could have a bearing on his future. I would prefer that our players go out with a very positive attitude and play as a team and hustle and bustle the living daylights out of the doggies and win. All games are winnable, the guys just have to regain the fighting spirit which is what the big Red V symbolises - VICTORY.

D-Day for Mcgregor and our club.
Players have the choice and chance today to stand up and show they are right behind the coach...or not.

What does that tell you about our depth in terms of shadow players being bought through ..........

The fact that players were not blooded last season and even some this year by our coaching staff leaves us skinny depth wise...........
We just don't seem to buy the right players. We don't want deadwood we want fringe first graders as depth. It seems Mary does not want to develop his depth so we must buy players he can have confidence in.

This is why we need recruitment reporting to the head coach. Millward could be in charge of recruitment but the head coach needs to sign off on player movements. Only in this way will the head coach be accountable for the performance of the NRL squad.

I'm afraid we need a crisis to have any chance of change.

Seriously....your anti - millward agenda is so off the mark it isn't funny....the board has set up a certain structure which Millward cannot change...The Board not Millward has set this all up including the current extension to the coach....I can't go into anymore detail, so I will leave it at that..

The old boys have set up the structure placing old boys in management positions. These positions were not properly contested including the Johnston to CEO, Millward to his Directorship and Mary and his coaching staff. All old boys and in my opinion all doing a very poor job.

Your entitled to your opinion but even those outside the club will tell you Millward is doing alright....The rest can go.

Firstly, Millward was appointed by McGregor not by the board. Its there in black and white if you dare to check.

Secondly, Millward is notcrandomly going out and signing players. Each signing is on a needs basis and that comes from the coach. DWZ was probably not approached simply because (a) the coach felt there was no need for another fullback, and (b) his price tag was too much anyway.

So Host moves to lock, K. Sims and Latimore the bench props with Robson coming onto the bench as the reserve forward/hooker.

Leilua dropped for disciplinary reasons, again an interesting scene and another excuse for McGregor to use.

Please provide the black and white proof. I distinctly remember Doust appointing Millward and setting up a separate division with Millward as 'director'. Doust justified this by saying he wanted recruiting to be separate from the head coach modernising the structure. Well in my opinion this structure/system has failed.

In the top 4 clubs the head coach has control and when we had a top coach (Bennett), the coach had control. Price and Mary done such a poor job with recruitment management that Doust made this change.

The answer should rather have been 'sack the coach' and put someone in charge that is qualified to do the job.

What should it be, rest them for a game or two or lose them for the back end of the season?

Undoubtedly they need to be rested as we all know the results if not , but if we don’t pick up a win today , then there’s a good chance there will be no back end of the season to worry ourselves about .
