McGuire and Tronc weren't rotated, they were dropped because they weren't doing their jobs properly.

I'm sure Hodges wanted to play all of last season, the reality is his achillies was never ready and neither is Hoffman.

Agreed with Norman. I wouldn't mind if the idea was to bring him on at halfback and moving Wallace to hooker but shifting him to fullback makes little sense to me and it's hurt us.

A lot of my issues have to do with the NYC policy. Every player who trained with the senior side SHOULD be playing in the Q Cup. The Broncos are too concerned about the bottom line than their own players development and it shows.

At full strength the Broncos should look like...

1. Josh Hoffman
2. Dale Copley
3. Jack Reed
4. Justin Hodges
5. Jharal Yow Yeh
6. Darren Lockyer
7. Peter Wallace
8. Ben Hannant
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Sam Thaiday
11. Alex Glenn
12. Ben Te'o
13. Corey Parker

14. Kurt Baptiste
15. Matt Gillett
16. Josh McGuire
17. Mitchell Dodds

With Tronc being considered if he can reach top form, I believe on his day he's the 2nd best prop the club has.

As for Cronulla the team should look like...

1. Josh Hoffman
2. Dale Copley
3. Jack Reed
4. Gerard Beale
5. Jharal Yow Yeh
6. Darren Lockyer
7. Peter Wallace*
8. Ben Hannant
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Dane Carlaw
11. Alex Glenn
12. Sam Thaiday
13. Corey Parker

14. Kurt Baptiste
15. Nick Kenny
16. Mitchell Dodds
17. Scott Anderson

*Corey Norman to come in if injured.

Hala dropped because I believe we need experience and we can't continue to play forwards who are still learning.

I'm not a fan of Beale in the centres but beggers can't be choosers. If Te'o was available, he'd be my pick.

Unfortunately, if Wallace is right to play, I'm sure Baptiste will lose his spot to Norman, which is shit because he showed a huge amount of potential the other night and Norman is a weak utility...

I'd take Carlaw over Anderson or Kenny, he tackles better and looks more likely to break a line.

Carlaw in the QLD Cup maybe .......looking forward to seeing it happen in the NRL again one day. I'm not holding my breath.

I thought Kenny went ok.......a bit on and off though

Carlaw over Hala ......sure no probs there. Hala looked lost the other night

If Wallace plays, I'd rather the Baptiste option as well over the Norman to half.....Wallace to dummy half switch around . Norman for mine is only in the 17 through necessity at the moment.

Copely V Gagai.......I'm still not completely sold on Copely

There's something about Gagai's play that makes me want to see more of it.

Good player but got absolutely no hope of being picked. Classic example of the ol' If he played well 3 years ago, let's pick him now Broncos supporter attitude. Why isn't Ashton Sims in the Broncos top grade team? :roll:Did he put a big hit on someone this week?

ftr I went for Nat cause I went to high school with him and I felt like giving him a mention. Not because he was "good 3 years ago". Obviously there are more suitable options

Did you feel superior?

Obviously he wasn't doing the job Griffin wanted.

He impressed me but I never really watched his game that closely and he was always good for one or two brain dead mistakes.

yeh big pete i like that side except i feel thaiday has to play backrow, carlaw in maybe teo to the bench. dodds has been good, particularly in defence and mcguire makes strong runs he just needs to cut the errors, baptiste has gotta stay. if beale isnt playing fullback he cant fit

We get so much more from playing Thaiday in the back row, but lately our other options at prop assides from Hannant have been poore, except McGuire, hes a beast.

Baptise isn't a definite yet as he was nothing more than solid in his limited game time. Although I believe he will be our best option. Just saying...

I think Beale has been playing well enough to deserve a chance on the wing over Copley. But I don't really like Beale as a winger so if Beale doesn't perform then bring Copley back in.

Beale or Copley on the wing is kind of 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. They both hot and cold with the ability to make some great plays. Beale is perhaps a little stronger under the high ball, I'd probably give him first crack at wing. I didn't like him in the first couple of games but he was moved around so much. Maybe with a little game time and consistent spots on the wing he can make it his own.

I don't think Dodds has gone that well the past couple of weeks. Needs a run in Q Cup for mine...and I have been his biggest supporter on here in the past.

He was going better than Thaiday and Gillette who both have just as many brain farts in their games.

I don't mind Big P's team at full strength.
However, even though Doods has improved he still goes missing too much for my liking.
I will find room for Tronc and Carlaw.
Nick Kenny can get the f**k out.
Copley deserves his chance on the wing as he has been the most solid of the young guns.
Gagai has the most potential of the lot but needs to take jack3d for a few months :sarcasm:
There is no room for Beale even though he has been solid in the 1.

Thaiday is Thaiday. Not to mention the guy was getting better with each game where as McGuire was going backwards.

Fair point on Gillett but his performances in 2010 deserved some kind of loyalty.

McGuire on the other hand had always been something of a depth player and a stint in Q Cup wouldn't do him any harm. And in fact they didn't.

McGuire wasn't going backwards to an extent that he deserved to be dropped. He was still play well enough to keep his spot.
Thaiday was not improving either. He was rubbish.
I think you should go back and watch the early rounds again.
