A win would be just fantastic but all I want from the player this week is to be able to leave the field with their shoulders held high. I don't expect miracles just a good old fashioned Newcastle showing.

Gates Open: 3:15 PM

NYC Kick Off: 5:15 PM

NRL Kick Off: 7:30 PM

Hearing on the radio ad there's an under 12s rep game as a curtain raiser

With Boyd, Uate and Sau not in the side I think that's the last we'll see of Wes in the top-grade.

Can't see why Faas would be dropped. He didn't get much time but seemed ok. Maybe Zeb really picked it up.

You guys reckon Adams is worth buying for SuperCoach?

Probably not, I was wondering this myself but he has got scores of 19 and 13 and I don't see him getting much better unless Bedsy gets hurt. He will just keep getting the 20 or so minutes a week gig.

I like the backline, bit concerned by no props on the bench. If Shillington was playing I'd be alot more nervous

At least we have been well served by Canberra not sacking Furner. If they installed a new coach this week they would have won for sure.

That bench is very small, I would have given Tets or Sims a run personally.

Gagai and Kev lining up together (assuming Tahu and McManus stay on their usual side) should be interesting.

Loving the fact Dane and Kev are in the backline. Proper pace. Add Darius and Aku to that with proper go forward and we would be flying.

A bit shocked (and pleased) to see Gagai, Mata'utia, and Kev all in the side. Injuries and the like might have forced Bennett's hand, but I'm excited to see how they all go.

A bit light on the bench, but maybe we're hoping to run them ragged. It's a pacy side, especially with Adams to chime in from the bench. If only we had Kurt there instead of Roberts, I'd be quite confident.

Im actually really keen to see how we with the new boys in the backline and tahu back. As far as form is goes, this actually looks a stronger side with sau, wes, uate and boyd out of it. Hopefully the backline goes awesome and we put 80 on the gayders and it puts a rocket up them boys to pick their games up.

Kev and Pete get their moment. Put up or be a fringe player for life.

I really hope they dont have this attitude in its "win it, or bin it" sense.

This is their chance, but we should not be expecting them to win the game on their own. They need to buy into Wayne's gameplan and execute. They dont have to score 2 tries each, they just need to show that they can be more reliable than the guys that are in and out of grade.
