Dropped it.

One of Melbs trys was accidental off side in the in-goal, yet they still gave it.

What's the actual rule if it comes off the player of one team, hits the player on the opposition and then hits the first guys team mate, who was in front of him.

As the ruling went they ruled that is allowable. Now, I don't know the actual rule though to say whether it was a correct ruling or not.

The ref was right there and said he lost control. There wasn't enough evidence to over rule it and it certainly looked like he lost control to me.
I've just re-watched it half a dozen times on the Fox Sports website and I don't think he has lost control over it; he has at least one hand on the ball at all times. In saying that I do agree that Melbourne shouldn't have been awarded that try earlier in the game for the accidental offside.

I just watched it again and still can't believe that nothing happened when Semi got hit in the head when scoring his first try. No report - NOTHING!

Judging by what happened with Manu Ma'u last week, you'd think the match review committee would flag it down. Hopefully, there is a bit of consistency there with foul play being cited despite no penalty being awarded or players placed on report.

I think there is also the question of a Melbourne Storm player being in front of the kicker and within the 10 given that it came one of the Melbourne players legs.

Hope he is ok, if Peats is gone it will be chance for him to cement a spot in first grade. I love his attitude, he hits like a mack truck for a little bloke.

He obviously has injury issues but many commented on that he was to small for an NRL hooker spot. But from today's game it didn't seem his size is an issue, didn't even look that small.

Also serious questions about why all these merkins from other clubs give a shit about this result.

Was never a try. At best he grounded it short of the line then pushed it onto the line. Double movement.
How good were The Tigers on Friday night? Absolutely smashed them. Maguire must be looking over his shoulder. Looks like no Sam Burgess no Souths.

Great to get a win but geez we played a team minus their 4 origin players, and we only just won. As for who comes in at fullback and hooker, maybe Quinlan at fullback or move Norman to fullback and bring in Henry at half. For hooker, will they let us play Kelly?

Did you watch the game?

I think we were also a bit unlucky with obstruction no try, watching in on replay, there was no much in it. Have seen plenty given before just like that.

And in the first half we should have been given a penalty for Morgan being run of the ball. Happened in front of the touch judge.

If it was a double movement then a penalty would have been awarded. I don't think it was a double movement; I'm 90% sure that under the rules a double movement requires you to lift the ball and promote it; basically making a second attempt at grounding it; Fonua's effort was all in one motion.

To answer your other question. Yes the Tigers were good and Souths were absolutely terrible. Losing Sam Burgess has just been one of our problems but its no excuse - sort of similar to the eels losing Hayne; both clubs knew that they were losing their respective players well before the season started. However, a lot of people seem to overlook the fact that we have also lost Teo, Tuqiri, Auva and Kyle Turner - all part of our premiership winning team. Add to that injuries to the likes of Glenn Stewart (who we should never have signed) and Adam Reynolds and its becomes very hard for us to compete. In saying that, that is only the tip of the iceberg..I could go on for ages we have that many problems..but that is for another thread.

Still can't get over how that storm off side try was given a try.
I can take the ref getting it wrong, but when it's the video ref and we looked at it the number of times we did and to still get it wrong. It's becoming a disgrace!

I thought the obstruction call for the try was a fair call based on previous decision this season. Basically, these days any time a decoy runner makes contact with a defender alarm bells start going off in the video ref's box.

There is only one lingering question after this game; who is suffering from a greater degree of brain damage? Casper or El Diablow?
