Warriors v Panthers, Ericcson Stadium, Saturday July 1, 7:30pm (NZ time)

The Panthers, on the back of what could be classed as an upset win against the Tigers, will go over to Auckland with what could be a "spare parts" team, given Origin commitments and injury. The ever-improving Warriors will be on the back of a 66-0 pasting of Souths.

What does this mean for this match - nothing!

Either way, it should be entertaining, as these matches usually are.

We have not lost any match in NZ since 2002.

Discuss.

That fact alone gives me some confidence. Though the Warriors are really starting to show some consistency over the last month. Should be an interesting tussle. Just please tell me Lee Hookey won't be making an apperance.

f**k!!! The side is up and I'm too pissed to put it up because it includes Hookey. Bone headed decision if ever I saw one.

1. Nick Youngquest, 2. Michael Gordon, 3. Danny Galea, 4. Lee Hookey, 5. Luke Rooney, 6. Luke Lewis, 7. Preston Campbell, 8. Joel Clinton, 9. Luke Priddis (c), 10. Craig Stapleton, 11. Matthew Cross, 12. Frank Pritchard, 13. Luke Swain, 14. Frank Puletua, 15. Bryan Norrie, 16. Matthew Bell, 17. Paul Aiton, 18. Craig Trindall

We have 2 chances of winning this one

1) JL is playing ducks and drakes and Trindall will start with Lewis to the centres and Hookey in the dressing sheds

2) The Warriors are so tired from running in all those tries against Souths they won't feel like competing.

I'd very much like to see Trindall Play.

Also I hope that Bryan Norrie will step up. He was so promissing in PL at dragons but I havent been too impressed since hes come over here.

 I bloody hope not!!

Good luck to your mob though. Penrith/Warriors battles have mostly been close-fought encounters, so another nail-biter could be on the cards.

BTW, it looks like it's going to be mighty cold over here on Saturday, so if any of you Aussies are making the trip it would pay to pack some mittens.

Norrie has been a bit unlucky with injury, doing his ankle in the game when vagana took his head off. but watch him closely. he is a real toiler, never misses a tackle, takes good solid hitups without any handling errors and you will see he is used for a lot of decoy running cause his huge size makes him good for drawing defenders. he also played a bit of second row in the last 10 minutes of the tigers game. he also never puts on the handbrake as he hits the line, like i have seen some other forwards do occassionally

he is very underated and i reckon if he got a few more games in the top grade, he would develop into one of our best forwards. he just needs more match fitness. having not had much game time since returning from injury.

I still can't work out why they'd fly to Sydney just for a televised training session.

Good luck Penrith.

Will be watching this game down at the local club - so here's hoping I am getting back on track to see and get to our future games!!! It's been a rough month for me.

This game is going to be fought hard by the Pennies. The loss of key players will hurt. Come on Penrith, you can do it boys!!

I hope and will pray Trindall gets a run. I think he could be the X Factor for this game. I'm not sure how a half pairing will go with Preston - I'm not confident they could compliment each other, yet I feel that a Trindall/Lewis combo would be more complimentary - just a gut feeling.

I haven't seen enough of Trindall playing but just feel that he could be that spark we need to keep the opposition guessing.

Just an observation when I put my tips in on the Penrith site, I had a quick glance at game day thinking that the Pennie fans would be in full flight of bagging Hookey (as usual) - not one post - I guess that's not unusual, hey!

I'm not too confident. The only reason why I tipped us is because of our record against the Warriors. Huey and Presto need to step up big time for us to win.
