DCE has the ball. He is on Cooks outside shoulder - he is Cooks responsibility.

Cordner Has Paps on his outside shoulder, he is Cordners.

Maloney has Munster.

The play continues.
Cook takes no one.

Cordner jams on DCE instead of sliding.

J Paps is now marked by no one.

Maloney was still covering his man - Munster.

You have just repeated yourself, well done. Agree to disagree you have just the same video lol.

If your incapable of understanding this. I can’t help you.

Please answer me this.

Who is meant to be marking Munster, if Jimmy is meant to be covering Paps?

Ive seen the video a hundred times, weve literally been arguing over this vthe whole time, freeze framing it doesn't change anything.

That freeze frame looks pretty damning for Cordner. It looks like Maloney is covering the sweep play to prevent an overlap while Cordner jams inside to DCE for no reason.

Cook doesn't tackle DCE, he runs straight at cordner in order to get Papali one on one with Jimmy, except Jimmy has read the play wrong and left a gaping hole.

Cook wasn't in position to tackle DCE he was late getting there, Cordner had to attempt a tackle. When there is an overlap like that you force them to go around you and hope like hell the cover defence can get across and clean up or you jam in hard and fast and try to stop the ball getting out to the overlap. Jimmy went to Jam on Munster and the ball went short instead of going to Munster and Jimmy was caught in no mans land, that's a bad read and one the he wasn't able to recover and even attempt a tackle on the ball carrier.

You've said it yourself, he was covering munster when he should of been stopping the ball. Billy Slater called Jimmy out in the commentary as soon as the try was scored, he said almost the same thing as you, he had eyes for Munster and got pulled out of position worrying about him which created the gap.

That's why a still image sucks because you can't see the decision making. It looks there like Cook should've had DCE but in motion it could be completely different.
