Yeh a fewplayed poorly today and have had their moments (good and bad) all season. I still think there is a very good centre in Lomax and Lawrie as prop and even Bird as a player.
It comes down to someone able to get the best out of them and the rest of the team
Ramsay getting better each week mostly.
The issue is that Lomax is consistently bad. He has a good game once, maybe twice a season at a pinch. He’s just so heavily overrated. I was at the game and watching him live, he’s just comparatively so inept to others out there. Even when it’s innocuous because it leads to nothing, he pointlessly rushes in and creates a hole on his outside. He’s just lucky it doesn’t lead to something on those occasions. Being responsible for 4 tries is, in my opinion, completely unacceptable and allowing it to happen by picking him week in week out sets a terrible example. He also constantly turns his back in defence. Actually he does this on every single play where the opposition make metres. When the opposition get an offload he realises too late because his back is turned and puts us on the back foot because it leads to him being carted backwards in defence. On top of that, his inability to slide in defence is always costly. He either flys in or just runs backwards which is good for conceding tries every week. I understand your opinion about him having a good centre in him because he has talent and some special moments. But that’s my analysis on him. Also, those special moments only come off once every 20 attempts. I can’t stand him as a player and would quite gladly see him leave

Last year we had BBQ gate as an excuse, this year there is NONE except a useless coach and players taking their money under false pretences. If I was Ben Hunt I’d be on the phone to Bennett saying 3 year contract ,make me Captain and $500,000 a year and I’m yours. Save your skin Ben get off the Titanic mate they don’t deserve you.

In the name of humanity let Ben Hunt go. He will never see another premiership opportunity if he stays. We are getting further away with every passing week.

Surely this is sealing Griffins fate...
We have forwards that couldn't bend a Banana.
Backs with no electric speed (aside from Ramsey)
Sackings in order should be.
1. Coach
2. McCullough
3. Woods.
4. Lawrie
5. Bird. ( I know he has just resigned)
Hook is going nowhere. If Mary is the longest tenured coach at the dragons, it just goes to show they don’t get rid of anyone regardless how bad they are

Two truly dreadful performances in a row and several other absolute shockers this season. I can't believe these guys stand around after a game like that and have a friendly chat and a laugh. They should be feeling ashamed. This team was never going to play finals this year and even if they did qualify they would be thrashed in the first round.

I am astounded seeing defenders weakly clutching at attacking players running at full speed. A guy with a leg cramp takes off from a standing start and runs right through the middle, untouched!. Also, surely Lomax has learned from the repeated failure of his attempts at flick passes. It's a shit tactic, fools nobody and he's really bad at it anyway. FFS, stop it!

It pains me to say it but I have tried and tried to see the value in Macca, Lomax, Bird, Woods and Mbye. I keep hearing about Amone being a young talent; I sincerely wish him well but, man, I think he has a very long way to go. At this stage he looks less than average to me.

I used to find it depressing, Now I'm at the point of hardly caring. So sad. This team is really looking hideous.

Didnt get to see the game....recorded it...heard the result.....reaching for the delete button as we speak.....tbh didnt expect to win, but after reading your comments on here wont bother now, just sick and tired of beating myself up.....fmd 54 against....another disappointing season yet again
The first half was worth watching, if not for just honouring Ben Hunt’s contribution to the half time lead. Then hit STOP!

Yet for some crazy reason the Club extended his contract at start of the season. This Club will never learn and to be honest - we will be a mid ladder team for years. We don’t have the players, juniors are over rated, a swag of old journeymen and a Club divided and stuck in the past and seen as old fashioned. Coaching staff are not up to the speed of the modern game. Nothing will change, no point getting all upset about it anymore.

Not sure where we go from here

And yet we know exactly what happens next. More of the same.

We just have to hope a gun coach has a spat with their current club sometime soon and we can discard the outdated stand in we have right now and pounce on them. It's become a comp of the haves and have nots.

Barring that, maybe a play for one of the Origin head coaches. Anything is worth a try when the best we can dish up is 40 minutes of lukewarm football.

With all respect to Hook, he will never bring our club or any other club success in the modern game. We could do worse as a stop-gap measure but in reality that is all he is.

I thought they may of been starting to learn with the way they handled Sims' contract but then they go and re-sign Bird and it's another step back.
Terrible recruitment to go with the poor coaching team.

Our chances of making the top 8 this year have evaporated. We are more likely to lose all of the remaining games, which in a way would be a good thing so that Hook's tenure can be ended.

I forecast a loss but not as bad as this. I'm sorry but the Dragons are just plain useless.

Patience will not result in the club turning us around - getting quality players is the key.

The 15 man Roosters team had their eye on the 50 and we were utterly powerless and disinterested in stopping it, as illustrated in the abysmal attempt at stopping a cramping Manu.

I mean if that's not the most embarrassing thing I have seen in my years watching I would probably have to go back to Thompson ball headbutt with Brown in the famous 70-10 game. But at least that was just an honest mistake. What we are witnessing is second half fade outs where the same culprits chip in to make sure Dragons fans are satisfactorily humiliated. Glad the likes of Mbye and Woods can have a chuckle about it with Teddy after the game. Warms the cockles of my heart Griffin offers players like them contracts.

New levels are being attained each year now, only they're the records and moments you want to avoid as a club. Maybe I was spoilt growing up in the 90s and early 2000s but I just cannot look at this club the same way anymore. And why was 2010 different? Because the club finally got its act together to do something about the mediocrity that swarms this club.
