Even if there were no suspensions and we had a full team, including Vaughan if he wasn't sacked, the games from now on will be tough as nails. We have had full strength teams this year and still got done anyway. The makeshift team that Hook has to come up with will be a mixed bag I would imagine but the best he can come up with so let's hope that whatever the make up of the squad is, they will be in it to win it.
We do have a tough run but we have barely put a full strength side on the park this season with injuries and suspensions, certainly not for consecutive weeks. The loss of Vaughan I can’t see us recovering from this year. Molo and Sua will help next year but dickhead or not he was hands down our best prop.

We really had a great draw if we would have beaten some of the teams we thought we could have like Tigers x 2 Doggies , NZ , and others , they would not have now been ,( must beat top teams ) to stay in touch of the 8 ...... Anyway that's how its been for a few years now , no excuses every team has its injuries and problems through the year and good teams make do .... Example last week a good team would have won that game even with players out as Manly did ..... but not our team ......

Could well be the most important game of our season.

If we look at other games in round 19:

Eels v Raiders
Roosters v Knights
Storm v Cows
Rabbits v Warriors
Eagles v Tigers
Panthers Broncos
Dogs v Sharks

From that lot the only "certainty" in the chasing pack (Raiders, Knights, Cows, Warriors) appears to be the Sharks. Others in that pack face in form teams above them.

Now our dilemma, who to leave out this week?
Dufty, Fui & Ellis are now available, so I would leave out (ie take their 1 game suspension) Maguire, Kerr, Norman & Beale.

So, my team looks something like this (assume Williame is out injured)

1. Sloan/Dufty
2. Ramsey
3. Bird
4. Feagai
5. JP
6. Clune/Amone
7. Hunt
8. Lawrie
9. Macca
10. JDB
11. Burns
12. Sims
13. Ford

14. JHunt
15. JT-B
16. Sloan/Dufty
17. Fui

Tempted to play Faama or Ellis in place of JHunt, but Faama's game yesterday was horrible and Ellis well?

Their biggest threats are Brimson, Fifita & Tino and we'll have a hard job containing them.

A win will give us space in the 8 race and give some confidence and relief to the team.
I wish you were the coach. Excellent suggestions, very good team for this match, I’d probably start Fui though.
Let’s see what Hook thinks.

Yeah just saw that ... was really hoping it was going to be at Suncorp. I don't have much positive to say about CBUS.
The Broncos are the away team in their game but get to play it at Suncorp. The Titans should be playing away but get to play at home. The NRL could have switched these games to deflect perceived home ground advantage. In my opinion the NRL could be seen as influencing results particularly when you also take into account the crackdown with sinbins and suspensions now being somewhat relaxed.

I would purely keep him for continuity reasons. And well and truly let him know that if he doesn't fire that will be it for him and id be looking to the future. I just feel that the combo he was building earlier in the year with Bird and hopefully Ramsey will be handy vs the Titans. We need this win and need the most experienced side on the park.
Norman is a virus through this side. He adds NOTHING and how many warning would have had before and just ignored ? Sorry mate just my opinion but he has to go now to give Sullivan or amone at least a chance against a lower side rather than chucking them in against a top 4 side.

All year I have been happy with Bird in the centres, all of a sudden I want him at 5/8. If only Lomax was back. We have too many fly-weights in the team. Norman is a waste of space, weak, not creative, misses tackles. With Bird at 5/8 we get one more big body and he is creative. Hunt and A.M would have to do all the long kicking.
He would want to improve his handling, has been loose all year

I don't think we are playing badly, we are just playing stupid, with 6 agains penalties killing any momentum in defense, and handling errors in attack (you can witness the heads go down when a ball is dropped). We've seem some enterprising play and some good try's scored.

Cut out (or at the very least minimise) these errors and we will be very competitive.

Surely his suspension comes this week and we can get at least 1 Normy free week

I don’t love him just feel he’s best suited for this week for possibly his last ever game for us. Sullivan and Amone haven’t played for ages. Clune has also been pretty underwhelming. In a must win and can win game I’d give him one last shot. If we don’t win it, he never puts on the red V again and we start building for next season.

Theres no more home-ground ad anymore, anyway we cut it.
We’ll be sweet this week. HUGE game this week considering all the other teams in the scrap are playing teams above us on the ladder bar the Sharks who are playing the dogs. The dogs have beaten them once this year and are playing much better now. Big opportunity to get some breathing space of 4-6 points if things fall our way

I strongly disagree. I think Norman is currently the weakest player in the 17 and we have some very ordinary players.
Clune would be a huge upgrade even though Clune himself is only mediocre.
Go back and watch last weeks game again. He is an embarrassment. Arm grabs for tackles. Jogs doesn’t run. Lacks any creativity, just kicks bombs.
Get him out of the team completely, and we will be a better football team.
We have a much better chance of winning against Titans or any opposition without Corey Norman.

Last week he was terrible, a few games he’s been man of the match. I’ll be glad to see the back of his inconsistent ass. I still think he’d be the best option next week. Probably had more than a few sneaky ones during quarantine.
