We got beat by the better team on the day. But when you look at that they scored a try whilst we were a player short, another that was very dubious, and had a few vital 50-50s go their way that lead to tries, we were right in it. No disgrace and plenty to look forward to!
The carry-on about the refs yesterday was embarrassing - including on the field.
The Whare sin bin was the result of a panic decision - the kick was covered at the back, Croker wasn't going to get there.
Raiders exploited the strip rule well. Their 4th try was from Mansour's drop - but following the 1st tackle strip on To'o after the Raiders had handed the ball over on the Panthers 40.
At 26-18, RCG having the ball stolen on the kick-off return following Tamou's try was poor on his part. Raiders had been attacking the ball all game - ball protection should have been key. Gave up field position and momentum.
Final try to Raiders off a short dropout chasing points.
So certainly no shame in the result. A bit more effort from some players (Naden), a bit more experience for others (To'o) and maybe less shitting the bed (Mansour, Whare, RCG) could see us get the result on another day.
