Round 2 v Roosters

My god that’s a bad Roosters team, like literally the worst 17 they’ve named since the Jackson Hastings era.
Roosters lost 38-18 at Penrith in 2016 after trailing 38-0. That side had Ferguson, Tupou, SKD, Mitchell,. Watson, Matterson, Friend, Napa, Cordner Aubusson, Taukeiaho and Guerra. I'll bet they'd like to have a few of those names in this side.

I’m not expecting a blow out score Friday night.

Im expecting a win but not sure we have 40 points or so in us at this early season stage and you have to think the Roosters will perform better than they did in Round 1.

I totally agree. There will be a 'bounce back' from the chooks.

Also there will be a 'lag' from Penrith after the very bright lights of Vegas.

I thought our performance against the Sharks was very good, better than I expected to be honest. I think the Sharks would have gone into the game thinking they were a decent chance of getting the job done But we were deserving of the two points.

I think we will be to good on Friday night, should get the job done comfortably but as I say not expecting us to put 30 or more on them.

Just be respectful of our ground. No shenanigans

We're only having a house warming party. That's all.

Interested to see how the crowds are for you this season.
They’ll be way down. We are a working class town on the western outskirts. Families can’t do Commbank on a Friday night that’s the reality. By the time families get home from school, work there is no realistic opportunity to somehow get to the train station and or into the car and get to Commbank. The majority will watch on TV in one shape or form. Wife and I can, retired no impediments, but my son, partner and kids who would normally have been able to do Panther Stadium won’t be able to do Commbank. Not that they don’t want to, but just can’t.

You're forgetting one thing. Panther fans have been released into the wild. I live in the inner west and it isn't exactly rugby league central but whenever I see someone wearing an NRL jersey it's mostly a Panthers one. So it may bring new fans

You'd want to make this one if you can. Unless you are travelling around the grounds regularly.

The next commbank game is 6pm against the Cowboys in round 5...lucky to draw 10-12k at that time. You won't get another game until round 8 against Manly which is a Saturday evening (There is another one in between against Souths at Accor but I'm done with that stadium).

We will get a lot more commbank games in the winter including the derby matches. A good number of Sunday matches.

We have eight season tickets, only four can make it Friday night night.

The 6pm Friday game was horrible scheduling.
Your story goes with my circle. There are 5 people I go with who have memberships but can't attend. I will be, 2 of the other 7 can go
I imagine the story is the same amongst all groups of fans.

Parramatta fans have been crying out for years for their local team to be the champion team in the NRL. This year they get their wish. They’ll all be Panthers supporters by the time our stadium is built.
