It'll be LKT who gets the next halves spot if Kyle completely shits the bed. He's only playing right now cos of his defence & to support Atko who is new to halves play. Once Atko gets a bit more comfortable then I think LKT will come into more consideration. I really can't see Kyle improving much more but the trade off with LKT poor defence probs leads to Kyle selection right now.

LKT or Reed will be defending next to Suli & Luch who are not great laterally or known for their defensive prowess. Atko will stay on the right next to Su'a & Holmes. I can't see us throwing in the towel with switching Holmes & Suli anytime soon. I really hope our left side defence shows improvement, especially with communication. Kyle is in the team for defence & he should be the vocal voice on that side when we're defending.

I'm feeling very confident re our game against Melbourne ...their a good outfit obviously but if you stick it into their spine early and play for 80 then the win is doable....apologies, but on another note its my Birthday 12TH today and sadly Hunt and his Donkeys were rolled again at Suncorp this time by Parra....honestly I'm in tears for a second consecutive weekend.....talk about ruin my celebrations ....ahh well looks like I'll just have to cop it sweet yet again.

As Since77 said already, Kane is not available this weekend. l would have thought if you saw why you might be thinking of Kane's welfare (he's out with concussion about 3mins into game - bad knock from blindside - but l would say a 50/50 hit - not late but nearly). The coaches have been saying Kane needs some time to learn his craft... he has plenty of time to get there. That incident may be a point to the coaches and their knowledge. In the meantime we can enjoy BA give Atko and Flan a hard time for their LA performance but call for other halves (eg Cherry) to get time to gel. I was happy with the way Atko ran the side first up but sure there is room to get better. Flan needs to find his new role in the side and where he value adds to what Atko brings... but his defence was good except for the first try.
Let's enjoy the ride and hope that Kane is pushing hard in a month or two... with some lessons under his belt.

Am I being unreasonable to think, after a season of losing a third of our matches by a try or less, we should have already learnt a fair bit about how to adjust to win the close ones? I'm not a Flanno hater but this is his third year, and he has already ruled the team out of winning a comp... I think results are required very quickly. Otherwise it's all talk.

Ok, first game in many years I get to see live. Starting to get a little excited.

I reckon the guys are pumped. Now we have a better long kicking game we can ease the pressure on the teams D, that worked in Vegas. If the D holds we get them into a grind, from there storm is susceptible. You just can’t let them get on top.

will miss Liddle, but glad they are playing it safe. Cookey can’t keep playing 80 mins all year, but with 2 weeks break he will manage Fine.

I hope Suli has a blinder. His lateral D is a weakness, but he brings a lot, and we need to take advantage on the edges as that’s our strength. Su’a and Luc will have blinders for sure.
