St George Illawarra coach Paul McGregor has named his mandatory 21-man squad ahead of the Dragons' Round 20 clash against the Parramatta Eels at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah on Sunday, August 4.

Patrick Kaufusi and Jeremy Latimore (knee) have been named to return on the bench for the Dragons, in an otherwise unchanged team.

Matt Dufty and Josh Kerr drop back to the reserves as a result, with Reece Robson and Jacob Host dropping out of last week's wider squad altogether.

However, if Dufty makes his way back into the Dragons' 17 to face Parramatta on the weekend he will rack up his 50th NRL game.

Is it just me but I thought Josh Kerr actually played pretty well last week.
Ran hard, supported up the middle and worked well together with Vaughan in the second half.
Reward is dropped and replaced by a slow Latimore.
Does this Clown (our Coach) watch the same game or am I the Clown.

Yep, let's reward a retiring player over an up & coming player, who happened to play well last game.
Make perfect sense to me, hence, while we are 3rd last on the table.

It's selections like this that the board need to come down hard on McGregor.
They should be trotted out as one of the many reasons he got sacked!

We can only hope.

Our season is over so there is no excuse for not mixing things up a bit. The team McGregor has picked is a team he thinks will at least go close and hopefully relieve the pressure on him. No thought for the season ahead, no thought of giving a kid a go, no thought of trying something different, just a selfish and stubborn vision of trying to make himself look good at any cost (probably at the cost of some young talent)

I'd like to see him admit the season is f**ked and come out and publicly state he's throwing caution to the wind and already looking at our future and maybe name a team along these lines.

1. Zac Lomax (He’s the club’s best fullback, Dufty will never cut it, make the call now)

2. Jason Saab

3. Gareth Widdop (Won’t be here next year so get him out of the halves and let Hunt & Norman gel)

4. Mikaele Ravalawa (We don’t have any decent centres so why not give him a shot. Rufus might be on the money with this call)

5. Tim Lafai (You’ve got one job Tim, take the kick returns with power and get our sets started)

6. Ben Hunt (He’s a running half who just doesn’t like the pressure of team management. Let him run, not manage)

7. Corey Norman (Played his best footy the year before Moses arrived at Parra when he owned the team. Give him this team as Benny clearly doesn’t want it)

8. James Graham (30 minutes flat out and then a rest. He’s not an 80 minute lock Mary!)

9. Cameron McInnes (c)

10. Paul Vaughan

11. Tyson Frizell

12. Tariq Sims (Tempted to give Jackson Ford a run here)

13. Blake Lawrie (Can go for long minutes)

Interchange:
14. Josh Kerr (Give him at least 30-40 minutes and tell him his future with us depends on it)
15. Korbin Sims (If i was certain Timm was staying, i'd give him a go in place of Korbin)
16. Patrick Kaufusi (I want to see if he’s a keeper or a Millward mess)
17. Luciano Leilua

Is it just me or does anyone else think our reggies would give our first grade team a run for their money?

Eaton agree with you
But Mary had to fit his mate Lats into the team.
Unbelievable
