Well, Saab kept his spot which shows some level of brain activity at selection time.
Accepting that Mary will be coach for even one more game is just like giving up on the Dragons. I will be hoping an praying each and every week that Mary will be sacked. The sooner we accept this the less anguish for us fans.
Mary will be there next year..
Gee whiz if Tariq stats say what it is imagine if he performed similar to last year how good they will be![]()

The Dragons come up against an unpredictable Parramatta outfit who find themselves in sixth place on the NRL ladder.
Across 36 matches since 1999, Parramatta have claimed top honours in 19 encounters while the Dragons have claimed 15, with a draw occurring on two occasions.
In recent times, the Eels have a clear advantage over St George Illawarra given they have won eight of the last nine matches.
That record flips on its head when playing at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, with Parramatta winning just one of eight matches in Kogarah.
Points are easy to come by from the men in blue and gold, scoring the third-most of any team (411) from a total of 66 tries.
While this may sound warning bells with the Dragons' lowly-ranked defensive line, the Eels have missed more tackles (638) than the Dragons (540) despite the Dragons making an extra 446 tackles throughout the season.
With all their attacking potential hiding in their flanks, the Eels' armour loses some shine in discipline. Parramatta have made the third-most handling errors (196) and fourth-most general play errors (210).
Danger man
Maika Sivo
Fijian flyer Maika Sivo has stormed into contention as one of the most lethal wingers in the competition this season.
Sivo currently leads the NRL with most tries scored (14) where he's failed to find the try line in only six matches this year.
Standing at 186 centimetres tall and weighing in at 105 kilograms, there's little wonder why the powerful outside back has made such an impact in the NRL.
Sivo also has the second-most line breaks (14), 59 tackle breaks, and averages 141 metres to go along with his growing collection of tries. The Dragons will remember Sivo picking up a double in their recent Round 8 encounter, highlighting the danger the 25-year-old poses on Sunday.
"I didn't know whether to be happy or disappointed"- Saab on Dragons debut
Key match-ups
Corey Norman v Clint Gutherson
Two former teammates come head to head in what will be a potentially game-defining match up.
As captain and fullback, Gutherson plays a significant role for the Eels and has been a leading force behind their current flurry of victories. Gutherson has five tries, six line breaks, nine try assists, 36 tackle breaks and averages 164 metres per game.
While Norman has only recently shifted to fullback after playing the majority of the season in the halves, his influence over the Dragons should not be understated. He racked up one line break assist and produced the game's second-most metres (141) in last week's loss to the Rabbitohs.
Tariq Sims v Manu Ma'u
It doesn’t get much scarier than Tariq Sims and Manu Ma’u staring each other down in the heat of battle.
Each player acts as an enforcer for their sides, using big hits and aggressive running to their advantage. Sims has made the third-most runs for the Dragons this season (204), racking up five line breaks, 26 tackle breaks and 1772 metres in the process.
Ma’u commenced his season following injury in Round 7 and wasted no time going back to his old ways. The Tongan international has scored two tries this season, with two line break assists and 1431 running metres.

More importantly, Dufty did nothing in the first 77min of the game.Dufty clearly didnt do enough last game. Did nothing in the three minutes he had on the field. He had to be dropped. Rep star Kerr had to be dropped as a lesson to other players that no-one is guaranteed a spot in the side.
And Mary's mandatory one back on the bench also goes; too late to matter anymore. So, the Lats farewell tour begins.
Mary moved him to the left wing and Lomax to the right wing.Well, Saab kept his spot which shows some level of brain activity at selection time.
Let me get this straight. So, the Lats farewell tour begins.
Accepting that Mary will be coach for even one more game is just like giving up on the Dragons. I will be hoping an praying each and every week that Mary will be sacked.
I suppose we all handle these things differently.
My assumption is based on history of the board and comments by BJ and co. who suggest that in 2020 Mary will be the coach.
THe overwhelming majority would like Mary sacked.
Personally, I cant see it happening. If that means I have "given up " on the Dragons for the moment, then i suppose I have.
In fact I did, when his contract was extended.
Don't give up entirely, Tru.
I live in hope but until then, the only interaction l have with the Dragons is with you guys on this forum.
Good people with a shared passion.
Let me get this straight.
We drop Josh Kerr, a 23 year old up and coming prop, selected for the indigenous all stars this year for Jeremy Latimore who has retired and offers absolutely nothing other than plod?
Agreed that Kerr’s dropping is the wrong move. But Dufty played a full game in reserve grade and again dosplayed the same issues that are stopping him from being a first grafe fullback.Dufty clearly didnt do enough last game. Did nothing in the three minutes he had on the field. He had to be dropped. Rep star Kerr had to be dropped as a lesson to other players that no-one is guaranteed a spot in the side.
This has been one of , if not the worst years ever.
I think I have only been excited three times this year.
The two golden point wins and Duffy’s try against the roosters
That’s it
And that’s sad
How do the two worst centers in the Nrl continue to be picked every week
How demoralizing must it be for players like Kerr to be used as a YoYo by McGregor. Is it just me but I thought Josh Kerr actually played pretty well last week.
Ran hard, supported up the middle and worked well together with Vaughan in the second half.
Reward is dropped and replaced by a slow Latimore.
Does this Clown (our Coach) watch the same game or am I the Clown.
