Round 21 - The Roosters

We are a bunch of thugs according to the MRC. 3 charged from yesterday, Api 1 week, Capes 1 week, Martin monetary.
Doent seem any roosters were charged.
I’d fight the throw charge for Capewell (didn’t think there was much in that) and the fine for Martin (because I would always fight a fine). Personally don’t see that Api did worse than others in that melee, but unfortunately the judiciary doesn’t care about those type of things.

And soon it will be time to hand him over to replace BA.
Didn't want to go to Cronulla and he lives there. I really wonder if the Eels would offer him the head coach role. He would probably leave for a head coach role in a top 4 club. But having lived through multiple spoons with the current bloke, would they really show him the door when in 4th place? Even Hook was 5th when he was sacked.

The Eels have a succession plan in place, David Kidwell will slot seamlessly in the head coaching position when BA is not re-signed at the end I’d 2022. You haven’t got the $600k to sack BA so he’ll be around for next season.

For my sins I have been watching a bit of the Eels over the last few weeks, and I struggle to see what has caused the dive. The whole place just seems devoid of confidence.

Api was the first to come in I think he definitely escalated things, it’s not worth a week but he’s had a couple charges like that this year from memory. We should definitely fight the capewell one there was nothing in it.

@Girds89 watched the game again and Manu really didn’t do anything to have you crowing like that. His work rate was impressive he always runs the ball well but 206m from 26 runs is just good solid wing play, Taylans 194 from 17 runs was better, give bizza 26 runs and he’ll give you 300m. Manus try was again a good solid wingers try but nothing special, he actually went over untouched so we know how you feel about those tries, easy as piss yeah

Someone mentioned so lets compare the 2

Tries
Manu 9
Crichton 7

Try Assists
Manu 5
Crichton 7

Line Breaks
Manu 12
Crichton 6

Run Metres

Manu 126m a game
Crichton 118 a game

Errors
Manu 17
Crichton 19

Penalty conceded

Manu 9
Crichton 7

Tackle %

Manu 74%
Crichton 82%

So Crichton in a 'quiet' year isn't far off Manu. When Crichton learns to run harder then he will carve teams up

To me the difference is this; the eyeball test about effort with the ball.

I think Crichton has really improved his defence this year and he looks amazing on that side of the ball. He is less involved with the ball this year, which is kind of understandable given our propensity to go left. Hopefully next year he can put it both together.

That is the big difference. Alot of Burton's tries he is put into a huge gap last year it was Crichton doing that

Solid Win, I'll never complain about that.

I really liked Taylan Mays Debut, he can definitely stay there until Bizza is right and then he can pressure Staines.

Taylan and Tago really excite me.

In 22 is it possible May could move to centre inside To'o or Staines. Tago takes the place of Capewell.

Nah, he copped a massive head knock. I remember him getting smashed and struggling to get back in the line - took him forever.
He was certainly unsteady on his feet stumbling back towards the defence line, then out of camera range. No surprise when he was brought off.
