Our plan seem to be give the ball to Bird
How many times did we got right in the second half.
Hooks use if the bench puzzles me too.
We played the game with 15 men.
Why pick Hunt and not use him.

For all our suspensions this year - which is a rugby league season record - he doesn't seem to make the most of the players left.

Sullivan should have played 6
Sloan at 1
Bird at centre or in the 2nd row

Ramsey at centre is bad too.

I have zero coaching experience but that would have been a far superior attacking team and saw it a mile off.

For mine, that game captured our season. Lots of promise early than a sad & inevitable fade out littered with errors.

Bird at Fullback was a fail, desperate selection by a desperate coach.

Time to start planning for 2023.

Amone didn’t get any early ball all game, Lomax saw some & looked threatening when he did. This constant tactic of continuing to play short to the second rower isn’t working.

Hook is out of options & it shows. I’m very concerned about him I think Griffin is a fraud. If I was Webb I’d be looking for new options for 2023 presently we have a talented squad wasted. Poor coaching is costing us, we can’t even get the fundamentals right.

I’m done…

Rant over.
I was with you right up to the point where you said "we have a talented squad".
We have a SH*T squad. End of story. The worst I can recall, from 1968 to now.

Yes, we have to many players of 2nd grade quality. Particularly in the forwards....
They're not even second graders.
I was watching 3rd grade at Jubilee in 1998 and a prop named Peter Howie ran across field to chase down a very quick young Balmain winger, execute a perfect legs tackle and take him into touch.
Can you imagine a single one of our lumpen, heavy-legged numbnuts pulling off something like that?
No - cos they don't have the technique, the inspiration or the desire. Or, if they do, they're hiding it well.

Yet nobody has asked him Why the f**k do you pick Norman every week.?
For me that's the first one.

I agree, I’m starting to dread next season already. Our forwards are nothing special & who will partner with Hunt next year to spark our attack?
It's a massive concern. Because at the moment we are absolutely pathetic. Our squad is more of reserve grade quality than anything else.

Since the BBQ fiasco, we have lost the ability to play good 80 minutes of football. We missed Hunt, Dufty and Vaughan today.

Next year, where is the speed going to come from to improve our attack? Who will teach the boys how to hold onto the ball, how to defend, how to score tries, minimise mistakes. It's the mistakes in the handling and missed tackles that kill us.

Are they just trying too hard which helps to make more mistakes or is it that they are mistake ridden?

Next year hey, will we be saying the same frustrating things again?

Just as well there can't be any fans at games. I doubt Dragons would be able to pull any crowd to another home game this year. And what's worse is the kids want to support other teams or have no interest whatsoever. Speaking from experience as a father and uncle, as well as what mates say. That should be a real concern to Ryan Webb.

I give credit to any fans or members of the forum who try and get the positive out of dark times for our club - but I find it very hard to give any credit to anyone

The Only guys that I have given any credit to recently have been Sloan and Hunt

The Dragons have us oldies as fans, well I'm an oldie anyway, but don't know about you other guys and I don't know for how much longer I will look at our games seeing that I have started to turn the games off my set when in the past I saw the games from start to finish no matter the result. It is just becoming too hard to watch now.

We have stuck by the Dragons come hell or high water as the saying goes as we have gone through the years when we were great. The younger people of today don't see us as a good rugby league club to follow now. Maybe the younger people just couldn't care about league but as you say thebigredv, Ryan Webb should have concern as to the lack of followers the club is getting.

Something definitely has cursed this club of ours and I don't think Hook and Co. have the answers.

Watching the Bunnies play tonight, is like comparing a Ferrari to our team being a Tonga Toy truck.
They are a pleasure to watch with speed across the park, generated by a zippy and threatening No.9
My prediction early in the season was a Storm vs South’s GF.
I believe 2 great coaches will battle it out this year.

The positive is a win tonight really would have been no consequence anyway.
Raiders will get blown away in this comp, just like the Sharks, the Eels, the Knights.

It's a 3 or 4 club race and by quite a margin. The chasm between good and bad this year is like we have never seen before.
