Yep better involvement and a nice try assist but defending out at right centre he was caught out several times with bad reads.. it'd be a worry if he has to come into a finals game for us off the bench at centre.... he'd be peppered big time...
Anymore than douehi was last week?

I didn't see the roosters game but by looking at the scoreline it doesn't seem like the roosters were overly impressive.

Mate they are f**king legends in their own minds, our intensity and drive is second to none and we still haven't gone through all the gears yet...we have been saving something special for these sorry shits and they won't know what hit them,I'm just a little pissed that Keary will be missing the show!

Didn't you guys barely scrape through the eels last week?

That meant nothing when you played the storm.

You have a point there!!

I can't recall off the top of my head how Rorters have gone against the top 8 sides but Souths just get the job done with the lower placed sides but we really lift against top 8 sides....

This will be an almighty match.. I do feel Souths have the edge in the forward battle tbh but without GI Rorters have a slight advantage in the backs..

Campbell Graham is in doubt but be aware if he plays he ain't afraid of anyone.. he will race in to do his to shut down Latrell when a try savers has to be made when we are short on numbers. This Campbell kid and Australian U18's player I believe is a future rep star... Gags has been lifting his game too.

No Keary for you guys though imo gives us a slight advantage....

Imo as well I'm pretty certain our pack makes more metres than yours. How will you guys handle Cookie' speed.. keep infringing and you'll be sin binned...

Tedesco is the danger...

Douiehi has more pace than Fui so yeah I'd be more worried with Fui at centre...

I like Fui but he's a second rower imo...

Storm and Rorters would have a field day with Fui in big games at centre...

Gags and Campbell if he plays... Latrell will run at Gags and smack here comes hard hitting Campbell.... geez I love this kid Campbell... he's only 19 I can't believe it... he's special...

You gotta get up in Latrell' face and let him know he won't dominate... give him something to think about and that'll rattle him... stand back and just give him space and yeah then you're f**ked... Seibs is very smart.... he will have it covered in the game plan..... lets smash these cocks... forceeeee em back and againnnnnn cmmmoonnnnnn

Douehi is not quicker than fui, this has been measured at training, and last year against melbourne, fui played centre, scored the only try against them, and contained a then in form will chambers fairly well.i do agree that 2nd row is his better position, but isnt douehi a half first and foremost as well?none of this is ideal, but until gi returns,we have to make do

Also from memory the reports coming out of preseason Fui had set the benchmark for a number of KPIs and was in the top 5 for nearly all of them. Injury is a bitch. His year has been interrupted so far, but I still still think he’s got a part to play in our year. But judging by the strapping Saturday it could still be a few weeks away. He was playing freer the longer that game went though. I’d trust him in any position. If fit he could certainly shut down Latrell, wouldn’t match him for pace, but Latrell wouldn’t get a chance to get going.

The strapping will be gone this week.just precautionary overkill from someone who has had absolutely no luck this year early on.that is not even the same leg as his long term injury, which has fully recovered.he and latrell are long time friends(aussie schoolboys tour together),but gagai will be marking him on our right!

Not only did Souths look ordinary against the eels there have been a number of games that lead me to question where they were at as far as being contenders for the title, but as R20 has posted they lift when it counts.

I'm just wondering if the roosters are similar to Souths in that regard.

Fui had a leg so strapped for Norths doubt he will be promoted, definitely a quality player!
I want to see the Burgi gang tackle Mitchell a few times,he is big and soft and might want to go home after a Sam crash tackle.
Our centre should be turning him back infield to the waiting arms.
Hope Angus plays for us again this week!

Our season has been a little different to souths in that there is a clear point of the season where you can see that the roosters changed things up. In the first 8 rounds our ruck defence and attack was awful and our only wins were twice against the bulldogs, at home to Newcastle and away to sharks (our only noteworthy win in the first third of the season) with a tight loss to wests and being well beaten by warriors, souths and St George.

Since that point we really changed the way we have played in attack whilst also tightening in defence and have a 10-2 record with the 2 losses away to Brisbane and home (Adelaide) to Melbourne and in that period we have certainly lifted for the big games.

If both teams turn up ready to play this should be a cracker.

No Keary is evened out by no GI IMO. Either way, we can't be using injuries as excuses, every team deals with them throughout the season.

I would agree that your pack looks better but our backline looks better and I feel that our forwards only need to not be steamrolled for us to have a good chance. Cook was the difference last time cutting through the ruck defence at will but that has really tightened up for the chooks since round 8 so we will see what happens this time.

Cmon souffs fans, keep writing the Roosters off. I'm still laughing at the comment that said Latrell is soft, a special kind of stupid.

That isn't how I saw it on the weekend. The cows scored a couple of pretty easy try's straight up main street. That is exactly where we'll be coming and I don't think your forwards are good enough to stop us.
