Didn't think it'd be that bad, oh well, happens, more important he's around for the start of next season than the end of this one anyway tbh.

f**k me, not good for Bryce. Eastwood landing on your leg like that is never going to end well though.

Would of been great for him to have a full off season but he seems to be developing at a rate of knots regardless of interruptions. If we don't see Kite again that makes 7 season ending injuries. We've had a good run until this last month but it seems normal service has returned.

Kite 4-6 weeks that would mean back for the finals. Maybe he'll get over whatever niggles he had as well.I know he's not well liked around here but could be useful for us in the finals. He's been there enough times.

I know he is not liked, and his stats are not the best. However, the other players seem to like playing with him and speak very highly of him. It is his leadership on the field that we will miss.

The one injured player we won't miss is going to be fit for the finals.

The guys that are irreplaceable... gone for the season. Just imagine if we had 11. Peachey 12. Cartwright 13. Taylor this week. Would be an absolutely crazy back row. Would really rate our chances no matter who was in the halves.

if kitey can make it to finals, only a bonus for us.

as long as he plays like he did in the 2013 GF, he went really well in that game.

Ugh. No thank you. I don't want him anywhere near the club.

I'm going to the game this weekend so it should be good. I'm expecting Soward to fire.

dont mine Mason but ill think Gus/Ivan will pass, Willie talks too much in the media, can be distracting for the squad which obviously is the last thing we want.

I dont mind Willie these days, watch him a bit on NRL 360 and he goes ok, he even acknowledged what a dickhead he was when he was younger last time I watched lol. On field looks like he could still add something to our side

I think giving Anderson or RCG a good crack will be just as effective as Mason would be next season and sets us up in the front row for a few years. We don't need Kite and Mason for experience and Kite seems here to stay.

Yeah dunno about mason, and I don't see him leaving Newcastle. His performances this year have been solid and we could definitely use them next year, however he turns 35 in 2015. Don't want to judge him to heavily on him his past but he does come with risk in terms of media and off field issues. Can't see him doing much at 35 anyway so yeah I'd pass.

We don't exactly have a team full of rookies. Brown, Manu, Soward, Wallace have more then enough experience to lead the rookies.

Good luck to the boys over next five weeks. I will miss run in to semi's as I am in UK catching up with one of my son's. For me to see another game this season we have to make it to week two of the semi's so I have my fingers and toes crossed. Have tickets to a couple of football (not soccer) games including Man Utd v QPR at Old Trafford on 14th September before flying home next day. The son I am seeing in Uk is Sharks fan so it is bittersweet. Will be great to catch up with him but those two losses to the Sharks are going to hurt us big time in the run in. Will keep in touch on here and the other panther forum. Keep up the good work guys and hope our season doesn't go pear shaped given our unfortunate injury situation.

Have a safe trip and hope you get to see us play another game or two this year when you get back!!
