Round 22 v Dragons

Tim Grant grubbed it up with dropping the forearms. Looks like he'll fit right in at Souffs, I've never seen Tim do that before.

I thought he had a poor game at first, he tried too hard and gave away 3 penalties. His runs were quality but he needs to cut the crap out of his game. He is bidding to be the new Trent Waterhouse.

I think our pack is pretty soft a bit of aggresson is fine. Came on showed the Dragon the bench wasn't going to take crap then settled down. That's fine with me more of that again

Our pack isnt soft imo. Tims penalties were just dumb, he got warned for the forearm then did it on our line right in front of the refs, and then just lying on them for far too long. It looked like he was trying to give away penalties. Other then that he went alright.

You don't think Sims bros, Taumalolo etc won't be doing similar this week? We need a forward to get under the other teams skin

I dont care if he wants to play like that. Just dont do it so blatantly, you can do a lot of niggling in a tackle and not get penalised.

Most of that stuff gets missed 9/10 anyway. Pretty much every tackle in NSW Cup is that sort of stuff hell Anderson is the master of it. It did tone down afterwards so that's something

And the XXXX Man of the match award goes to Donkeylover2010

Its funny somehow teams that play panthers always seem to have a down game, then again dragons are no world beaters, we saw how panthers got found out when they play the top teams souths, roosters.

Thats what im saying, its easy to get away with that stuff if you're not silly about it. Anyway other then that he was strong for us.

Pretty good performance, struggling in attack is understandable but last tackle options are stupid and can improve greatly. Ten passes in a circle then someone puts a little stabbing kick dead or straight to the fullback, it's senseless, just kick a bomb like everyone else and like how we used to, the last game we did so consistently was against Brisbane and it produced multiple tries. I don't understand what we're trying to do on the last.

Yeah either bomb it or grubber for a repeat set, two simple and effective options if done right.

Also I thought Mckendry was strong again, hopefully he can keep going on with it into the finals.

Is this really a coincidence, or a reflection on our style of play.

How do you formulate a game plan against a team that has no real stars or "goto" players and makes very few errors.....

Mostly pretty good. Tim's penalties were dumb. Also Idris is starting annoy me. I don't blame him for getting tackled easy when 5 opposition players are hanging off him, but too often he tries to step or some other bullshit. Run hard, mate. Your momentum is your advantage. Early in the game Soward threw a huge cut out ball to him and he bloody ran in field nearly all the way to other sideline. Forwards and fend, not skip and run sideways.

Yeah I was torn on Idris yesterday. He had 2/3 runs where he went straight and made 20m odd a run with Dragons falling off him all over the place. Then sometimes he'd just meander along the line and collapse as soon as someone touches him. He's got the strength to be an absolute weapon. Not sure about the attitude of fitness.

It's because we give them Oak flavoured milk spiked with mandies.

That's been the story of Idris' career though except for the Broncos game has been strong in defence all year

Isaah Yeo just continues to impress. He shut down the dragons left side strike players yesterday. At only 19 has a big future I think. Deserves a nomination for Rookie of the year in my opinion but will probably be overlooked for the Tigers' (& other) media pets.
