I'm just asking. The Broncos don't have a good record at Brookie, so I hope you're ready for a possible Sea Eagles victory.

Despite how badly the Sea Eagles are travelling, Manly at Brookvale is always a bloody tough opposition, some very good Broncos sides over the years have tripped up at that ground.

My bench would be: Parker, Thaiday, Costigan and Barnes. I've got no time for Jane, had a couple of pearlers against weak opposition and has suddenly brought himself a regular spot in our 17 again and with McGuire at hooker I'm not comfortable having Barnes dropped off that bench for another forward.

Aren't you a Storm fan?

You one of those bandwagoners who has two teams?

Yeah I am, been a Sea Eagle fan for most of my life and a Storm one since they entered the comp so I'm hardly a bandwagoner.

Civoniceva will miss todays game because of a shoulder injury. Jane comes into the starting side:

NRL Round 22
Brisbane Broncos vs Manly Sea-Eagles
Sunday, August 7, Brookvale Oval
Kick-off: 3pm

Brisbane Broncos: Karmichael Hunt; Brent Tate, Justin Hodges, Shaun Berrigan, Leon Bott; Darren Lockyer (c), Brett Seymour; Tonie Carroll, Brad Thorn, David Stagg; Dane Carlaw, Casey McGuire, Shane Webcke.

Interchange: Corey Parker, Darren Smith, Berrick Barnes, Neville Costigan.
Coach: Wayne Bennett

We're down a prop already and have been having trouble in recent times so we leave out Thaiday and leave ourselves with only one prop on the bench in Parker. Very dissapointing, there is always a method to Bennett's madness but I'm not seeing it this week.

Enjoy your two points lotti you guys played like you needed them more and congratulations to your team for beating the top placed team.

Broncos fans I ask you all one question. Why did we lose?

I believe there were a few reasons.

One was our forwards. We missed Petero and we desperatly need Thaiday on the bench so we can have a specialist Front-Row Replacement.

Another thing that I found startling was our defence, 45 miss tackles is a very poor effort and if we want to become better we must improve that aspect first.

However those 2 reasons do not compare to this 3rd and that's execution. Lockyer and Seymour need to communicate better as we have not come up with any good combonations or plays in awhile.

Have Broncos lost their form? I don't believe we have. Then again I never believed we were dominating like other fans were saying we were. Our team was just far more consistent and either blew the team off the park before going to sleep or played the full 80 to secure us wins.

How will we beat the Dragons? Well first off, our forwards have to run onto the ball as hard as Webcke, I see Thorn and Carlaw for example jog onto it and they make good metres however if they ran onto it as hard as Webcke I could see us splitting the line a lot more. Another thing of course is creating more plays, Lockyer needs to organise play better and set it up for his outside backs a bit better. Our kicking game besides from long punts to get us territory should consist of low kicks as our wingers will stand no chance to the much taller St. George back-row.

Besides from that, we need self confidence, this match is of much higher priority than the Eagles and is one we have to prove ourselves.

Isn't it great to be a League Supporter. :D

we will, the only way is up for Manly. Loss of form for Brisbane we'll see in the remainder of the season.

Not so sure lotti.

Maybe your team provided the wake up call we needed.

If it took your team 6 matches to wake up I believe it will only take us 2 at the most.

yeah but didn't you guys allow Monas to kick a field goal, not to mention not read one of your former players. The Broncos problem is that they tend to get too cocky and when they lose they get wise to the fact they can be beaten.

lotti....monas kicked a 40m field goal!!! its not like it was 10 out and the broncos stood their and looked at him. Seriously you lack league knowledge

Monas wanted to make sure there wasn't a repeat of the week before so instead of a 40/20 kick he tried for a field goal.

i think its the broncos doing what they do every year, running out of steam. we try to avoid it every year, and im not sure how we did it this yr since we have done everything possible to prevent it from happening, man i hope im wrong, but the way the broncos have played the last 3 games reminds me so much of the past few years :(

i put it all down to the loss of barry berrigan. Sure he aint no superstar hooker, but he is crucial to the broncos. Service out of dummyhalf is suspect with mcguire there.
Brisbane also have nothing to play for (now they do) because they led the comp by 3-4 games at various stages. They were playing desperate teams.
They have lost 2/3, but they quite easily could have beaten the dogs and the eagles.
