Me backing a player is a career killer. Doubt Staines is here long term now that a May is coming into first grade.

Wouldnt jump the gun on that call yet mate. Staines will get another chance for sure and with bizza out it makes sense to go with someone who will provide more metres.

Jnr May is a pretty good winger in his own right plus has the personal connection so I don't see it unless he takes over Edwards at fullback but being dropped on the wing seems pretty damning.

If Gould was still with us Charlie would be on his way to French rugby by the morning...

Thankfully Ivan is a little more patient...

It’s one game. It doesn’t make a career.

Same with Charlie, twenty odd games. It’s just too early to know for sure.

Ive said consistently, I don’t think Charlie Staines can enjoy a long successful career as a winger. The way the game is played, the majority of the games successful wingers are tall, big bodies who do a lot of the hard work coming out of the defensive end.

Charlies future is in the Ryan Paps mould of fullback. So in my opinion only I would be keen to see him given an extended run at some stage at fullback to see whether he is capable of playing a similar role to Ryan Paps. Hopefully he will get his chance in 2022 because as it stands now we really don’t know the answer to this question.

It really is fb or nothing for charlie.

Tiny has come in and been brilliant on debut and thats after not playing in any comp for over a month.

Im not writing charlie off but i think for this year he isnt good enough for a wing spot at full strength..

Next year will be great competition between edwards staines turuva and critta for the 1.

As for this week i think momo will drop out all together. Burton to centre. Cleary 7. Lindsay to the bench.

Not a bad team considering all the outs. As per last week i think this will be a tough match. Its do or die for the dragons. They will be up for it.
I just dont think they have enough fire power in the spine to score enough to beat us.

Shall we give the 20 year old kid a chance to grow into his body before placing him on the scrap heap?

A summer in the gym will do wonders for Charlie.

I agree at this point he is light but a off season in the gym and specific leg stretching he will be right to go

It's obvious Momo drops out with Ivan saying Cleary is back at 7. May outside Burton will be interesting since Burton is such a danger in his own right so keen to see that.
