Round 22 vs Sea Eagles

Thanks for the GG reference, Ive been racking my brain on who Burns reminded me of in stature from the past….it was Grant. Grant however did not miss tackles and was an excellent goal kicker under pressure as well.
A great player.
What a forward pack we had then!
And a half back who looked like he gave a $hit, and a fullback who could catch a ball and tackle and wingers who could run.
Those were the days, my friend.

My gut feeling is it will be a long night for us tomorrow tonight. Forget about last week, Manly will throw a hell of a lot more at us than the Tigers did. I guarantee they’ve been honing their right edge attack all week, which has been very good for them all year. That’s where they’ll be targeting. I can see it being a long night for Amone, Burns, Suli and Feagai. Olakau’atu, and the shape they present with their right edge attack will be very hard for us to contain, especially under fatigue defending the try line.

Seibold has that right edge humming. Don’t know what happened with him at Brisbane but the guy is a known tactician, and you can see that in the structure they attack with, especially that right edge. DCE is playing great football, and the dummy half is a very underrated player.

Ladder-wise, a very important game for them if they want to make the eight, with the draw not being kind to them over the next month. Throw in DCE’s 300th game and you’ve got the perfect storm.

My heart says Dragons, but my head says Manly in a canter.

Hoping I’m way off the mark…

WOW, I got that one completely wrong. Manly were absolutely terrible.

Half a game plan, some structure and purpose, and we win that game easy. But i suppose we haven't had those things for going on three years now.

The new coach, and pre-season, can't get here quick enough. So many bad habits to unlearn.

And people said Hook had us going in the right direction. Give me a break

We lost it rather than Manly winning it.
One of the games where I thought we are a chance.
We give away penalties we know we are in trouble.
Gave Manly piggy backs.
Because we aren't a chance for the rest of them.
Lomax over 200 metres.
Hunt has had a shit year.
He is part of the problem, he needs to pull his finger out of his arse.
You just know we aren't going to win the close ones
Be good if we could keep Sloan on when we attack and take him off when we defend

Manly were somewhat shell shocked when our lads actually make a game of it . The sea eagles were reduced to a pack of screaming sea gulls when big Russ went over the line , but we cannot have rain falling on DCEvans 300th game so naturally the try was disallowed .

Still as already said by many members our bad habits eventually gave Manly the game .

Just watched the presser and Carr suitably animated and aggrieved. Some very dubious decisions. Tonight’s ref is one of the weakest we have in my opinion.
Having said that, with a lot of possession we mounted very little threat for most of the game. Hunt much better in the second stanza made a big difference. We are a very slow side and lack any impact off the bench. Musgrove seemed to hobble for most of his time and Couchman is solid but still raw. Russel is committed as is Burns but really largely ineffective. Desperately need some forwards. Fingers crossed Flanno! 🤞🙏

Russell no try utter disgrace.
Hip drop ridiculous.
Hunt is the luckiest guy alive to be one of the NRL’s top earners. He’s not a halfback’s arsehole.
Another great game Lomax.
Not much else to say.
Geez I hope Flanno updates the Griffin game plan of 5 hitups and a kick.

Imposter Referee Buttler clear instructions to him before the game started.
THIS IS THE ACTUAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE REFEREE
“This is DCE 300 game, at all cost make sure manly wins. Disallow a legitimate try, stop the game if manly players need a cuddle or bandage on his boo boo. Send a dragons play off even if it a legitimate fair tackle. Don’t worry you won’t get dropped. This is a bottom eight game no one will care if you just make your own rules. Make sure Manly wins”
COACH CARR ….” This ridiculous!!!!! Needs to be an investigation!!!”
