Hunt rarely stands up in the moments that matter, he is not a million dollar half and not a leader. I am concerned Flanagan has put a lot on the line to keep him here, not convinced it’s the way to go but then I am not a premiership winning coach.

other observations..

Sloan costs much more than he gives, he has to bulk up and stand up in 2024 otherwise he will fade away like others before him, particularly if Lomax wants the job.
Burns gave his all, I have bagged him before and ultimately I still don’t think he is a regular first grader, but tonight he was better than Bird has been for years.
Amone falls into a shell, needs a bomb up him.
There were repeated attacking sets where Lomax did not get the ball.
Suli can be better.
The officials, particularly those with the initials CB were pretty tough on us at critical times. I still don’t get hip drops, but 10 minutes?? There was also a try rejected that had pretty convincing evidence was scored yet both CB‘s held firm. Seems DCE’s 300 game was too big to spoil.

That conversation walking off at half time, pissed me off, but was smart by their Captain.

The casual nature of the chat shouldn't be in any professional code. Why should the ref, when the game is halfway through, have to justify a decision, and give DCE a breakdown. ?

He actually told him what the penalty count was and then explained each one.

Thanks for the GG reference, Ive been racking my brain on who Burns reminded me of in stature from the past….it was Grant. Grant however did not miss tackles and was an excellent goal kicker under pressure as well.

CB actually said he got the ball over the line but didn’t have the guts to overturn on field reds call. That’s the way I saw it anyway.

Just wondering how that was a no try to Russell. The ref said she could see that he put the ball down. Was just checking to see if it was over the line, which it clearly was. Good to see that the women are equal to the men’s refs. Equally f**king useless.

Neither Sloane or Feagai return kicks with any speed or intensity. It's embarrassing to watch them power-walking towards the kick chasers who gleefully pick them off.
