I can only hope its in the aim for them to be eligible to play finals football in PL and give them that experience.

I hope you're right Big Mick, but I also think that if you are right, then Elliott should come out publically and say so.

Because we have to face facts. 1st grade is shot to buggery for this season, there is really nothing to salvage but a bit of pride. Spoon or no spoon at this point means nothing. It would be splitting hairs. We all know that there is no other team in the comp that actually deserves to get the spoon on overall performances......there is only Penrith.

So the only way to look past that at this point would be for Elliott to focus his attention on helping this club to salvage what little good will they can for the fans and the players by telling everyone that he is doing everything he can to help the lower grades to succeed.

I believe that 99% of fans would thank him for that.

The team is great except for that one, completely stupid and crazy selection.

Lewis at 5/8 will easily offer what Wallace did in both attack and defence, we can just use Sammut in attack a bit more and actually come out ahead.

But O'Halloran? WTF? If we want to play someone out of position on the wing, we should have just thrown Tony Puletua there. He might have atleast scared players from attacking at the wing through his incredible size, unlike O'Halloran.

Elliot is the coach, but I think Williams should be given a decent crack at 5/8th. Waterhouse up to the 2nd row. Lewis into lock. Smith back to the bench. Iosefa to the bench to play a similar role to Riddell. Run a bit from dummy half and a bit as a running forward 1 pass off the ruck. Sammut to interject off the bench. I would like to promote a young bloke from Flegg for the last 3 games. McKendry, Paulo, Leeds, Blackett...........take your pick?
