I am risking the wrath of the masses here, but I am struggling to see what others are seeing in Tago ATM. He has a big future ahead of him, but his effectiveness has been reducing week in week. This is to be expected from a young kids.

So again, think he can be a big part of the future, but in this year where we are looking to break a long premiership drought in a very close comp, I don’t see him being part of the top 17 (especially if he is being chosen largely to play in the pack).

He is SG Ball age. Was a prop last year. Moved to centre and now the edge undersized.

He is another starting to fade away with no NSW Cup. Another pre-season will do him wonders and tbh the 17 picks itself without him

Not ready for the backrow yet imo

Didn’t know he played prop at Ball level. Talks to one of the reasons why props don’t develop fully till their mid twenties.

I think you're right tbh. Looks a really good prospect but I don't think he walks into the 17 at the moment, nor is the difference between winning and losing the comp. A bit undersized due to his age but definitely one for the future.

Speaking of the wrath of masses, Momo is my centre ahead of him.

He doesn't get the ball, and what has Naden done? He will be leaving at seasons end.
He’s gonna get lots of ball coming down his side in the semis. Every kick from our rivals all to Charlie’s side Because they know he can’t do any damage. It’s then put even more pressure on Dylan and Brian from the second carry and more pressure on our forwards to get back on side quicker, travelling further and be in a position to be ready for carries, hence more fatigue in our forwards. Simple game plan but highly effective if Charlie is on the Wing. This is why we can no longer carry Charlie in the side.

The starting side picks itself.

May/Kenny the 14 as they cover more positions
Martin of course
Sorensen due to playing middle too
TPJ of course

Tago and co are likely to push next year

Mate I genuinely have no idea what you're going on about. I said I think we're trying to get Crichton more involved by playing him on the wing ala Manu at the Roosters which has worked, and you started arguing a point I wasn't even arguing. But at the same time you were also agreeing with me by saying Crichton doesn't involve himself which I think is the point of the move.

I reckon either you or Betcats are my mrs in disguise. You both argue like it.
If your high level of arguing is saying F**k me what dribble and your Mrs is on a lower level than that, we don't have much to interact on. Not sure I can reach such a high level of communication. Like trying to communicate with... the actual Martie Lang probably given all his head knocks.

Martin lang has his phd in sports science or something like that i believe. Pretty educated man.

He spoke very eloquently too; the interview he did while walking around the field after the 2003 grand-final always bring a tear to my eye (alongside Joel Clinton’s ‘I love him and he loves me’).

I can’t help but fear though he will be a textbook case of why we should have had the head-high crackdown many years ago. His head took a lot of damage though and when I view him in my minds eye on the field, it is him doing the wobbly boot, concussion dance.

Cody is the poster boy who gets all the glory for souths imo but he isnt the most important players.

If you can control cam murrays play the ball speed and limit latrells involvement you go a long way to beating them.

Id be telling all our players to be getting numbers in tackles on murray. Hold him up and get him on his back. Without his quick play the balls cook has nothing and when cook isnt running amok cody has got nothing.. codys a flat track bunny..

In terms of latrell. Id be looking a kicking early in sets when neither winger are back. Make him turn and chase the ball, 10, 20 or so meters before bringing it back. All that extra work adds up real quick. When his fatigued his certainly not as dynamic.

Control murray and latrell and we win imo.

There is no room for actual (and thoughtful) football analysis on this forum; be careful, or you’ll be banned…

Yep Murray is absolutely their necessity player. Without him they struggle pretty bad. As important as Yeo is for us

Staines is great, Naden is not.
