A lot of Griffin’s selections this year have been vexing, Kerr at second row didn’t work & has stopped his development, even Ellis is starting above him this week. Persisting with Beale at Centre & playing Bird at fullback was never going to work. And continuing to pick Norman even though he lets in more tries than he creates. Very frustrating season, we can only hope Griffin has learned some lessons & the same errors aren’t made next year.

Not intentionally being negative rather my mood is reflecting our current standing. It is true I’ve already written off Griffin, his wanting to resign Norman & his blind faith in him is indefensible & I can foresee Mbye being the new Norman in 2022.

We’ve lost 5 on the trot, Bird at Fullback & Beale at Centre were obvious dumb decisions, anyone could see that. Against Penrith Norman gave Penrith 2 tries, Beale & Bird let in 1 each. What’s the point in holding back the kids if we’re getting pumped every week anyway.

Griffin’s ineptitude has cost us any chance of a top 8 finish. He’s a bumbling old fool who belongs in the radio with Ray Hadley.

I am holding out some tiny flicker of hope, given results so far this round, that they can spring a surprise turnaround and snag this one from under the Roosters cocky noses. Then its back in their court to go on and build on it and make the 8 and upwards to 2022. Dreaming?

Yes we got the agenda already.....Gus was right, Hook was a poor choice by our club
Matt just shot himself in the foot and it is clear why he was let go
Did not see eye to eye with any of his coaches thus far, why will Trent be different.
That is right he is going to Gus's Bulldogs next year..all will be positive

24 points will 100% get you into top 8 and playing Roosters 1st semi...so its 3/3 or nothing for us..

I don’t read papers per se. I Google Dragons and whatever pops up I read and take with a large grain of salt.

Hey fellow dragons , what’s all the Dufty shot himself in the foot etc all about. Pretty standard and sensible interview by Matt. Basically saying Hook disagreed about how Dufty should structure his game. It seems that Hook wants Duff to be more structured and given post match comments Hook doesn’t like the long cut out passes. Dufty also notes that he and Hook get along otherwise.
I have been a positive but realistic poster on the forum about Duff; said he is not a superstar, but a couple of his NRL trys are so sublime that very few other players ( if any) are capable of scoring them. He can score long range trys, a godsend for any team. Balanced against that he does go quiet in games, not good in traffic nor contested jumps with tallish opposition.
I have moved on but will miss that excitement and expectation that Matt brings even if like his last game for us he didn’t play well. I will certainly cheer on Tyrell Sloan / Mybe/ whoever is his replacement.

Not necessarily if we win all 3 we are on 24 points if they lose their last game vs MELB they are on 22. I still don’t see it happening but that’s the equation. We also need Titans and Raiders to each lose a game or be flogged too.
