Have missed the game gents. Can't watch the tripe on ch 9. Obviously disappointed but not surprised. I was banking on winning our last two however with what was dished up today my confidence is shot of that happening. It would have to be two convincing wins to boost for and against to make the cut. Most probably not going to happen.

Any opinions on Snowden's performance today?

A mate reckons McKinnon had a shocker in defence today but I just checked the stats and he's only down for two missed tackles??

Can I just add to the 9 broadcast......shut the hell up Gus.
.
I'm hearing you loud and clear on that
.
You would HONESTLY think that Tyrones Kick off was the only one in the HISTORY of the game that went out on the full from the kick off - SHUT THE f**k UP YOU TOSSER !
.
I can just picture Gus and Vossy sitting beside each other at the commentary table - there closest hands both under the table just waiting for the STEWART BROS to get the ball - I'm sure as shit certain that the STROKING rate quickens when either get the ball

He did make a very good point which was how much more competitive we'd have been if we'd not surrendered so meekly in the first half.

It's plagued us all year and cost us big today and against Canterbury.

We are just a horrendous first half football side. That's all there is to it really. A lot of work needs to go into that over the off season. Fair enough we're able to come back in the second half and beat a lot of teams, but you just can't give huge leads away to the good sides like the Bulldogs and Manly and expect to claw your way back.

They played football while we were trying to play to our game plan. Oooops, too late.
We can bounce back to win the next 2 but it will be difficult. We need to end the season on more positives.

Describing our chances as decent is a huge stretch. It'd be a miracle if we made it from here. We'd need about 10 different results to fall into place.

Anyone else sick of captain emu here and have the guts to say so? won six of our last eight after a shocker of a start to the season, and today got belted by the premiers who were due to give it to someone hard and it happened to be us.... Bring on 2012 and go the knights!

2012? Captain Emu? IS that two typos or are you serious? I hope the former.

Without pointing out the obvious mistakes in your post here, RABK is right. It will take near a miracle for us to make the finals given our form against good sides and where we currently sit

Nothing emo about what he is saying at all

Yeah, not much more that can be added. Was at the game and the first half was embarrassing, it looked like defence was optional.

However, maybe Manly did put the cue in the rack, but at 38-4 the boys could easily have thrown the towel in and been towelled up to the tune of a 60 or 70 point hiding so it was encouraging they still had a dig.

Just would have been much better if that first half wasn't so horrendous...

Glad I flew down for this one...

Luckily the beers at the Steyne post game were great.

I had a feeling this performance was coming from Manly, I just hoped it wouldn't be against us. They'll win the comp. I love watching them play football.

Great fightback from the boys in the second half. Good signs for next season.

The first half was unacceptable, was great to see Willie giving the boys a spray behind the posts when Manly went 12-0 up. The defence for most of the first half resembled that of a touch footy team, especially up the middle of the field. I don't know exactly what Uncle Wayne said at half time and he doesn't strike me as a man who would deliver the blow dryer treatment, but credit has to be given to the way the boys came out and won that second half 16-4. Whether Manly put the cue in the rack or not (I am not entirely sure) there was a notable increase in urgency from the Knights. I hate to think what the fulltime score might have been in the Hagan era...

Win or lose, it's always a relief walking out of Brookie and thanking the Lord that I wasn't brought up a Manly fan. I'd having breath that smelt like semen....

People taking much out of the 2nd half need their head read. Manly had well and truly put the cue in the rack and barely had enough players left to field 13.
