It was all us. Klein didn't make us start spreading it, get stripped then go for the short drop out
Whoever is making the decisions for us to be taking short dropouts honestly needs a kick up the ass.
The ball should have gone straight to Cleary to kick the piss out of it, and whack them.
Instead we burn 45 seconds of sin-bin advantage making substitutions, give it to Luai to go short, fail to recover, and a few tackles later our fresh subs get burned in behind the ruck.
Our critical decision making over the past few years has been really poor. How many times have we been gifted a penalty right in front and instead of taking the 2 points on offer, we take the tap and drop the ball cold first or second tackle? More often than not, we've lost those games too.
Sometimes the best play is the obvious one and the safe one. It's fine to back your defence in those situations - but it's better to force the other team to run an extra 30-40m to score. Highlight reels don't win rings.
