We dont know that Egan is an improvement over Katoa. It's a change that had to happen based on the Knights game. But for all we know Egan could shit the bed now.

So could any option. At the very least he's fresh. Katoa clearly took a hit playing big minutes after Wallace retired.

DWZ had to be fullback no matter the cost
Agree we have looked shit since we haven't had a proper fullback after DWZ injury. DWZ is a good fullback, he ripped the warriors apart last time with a bunch of rookies. The fullback is a vital part of the team in both attack and defense.

Mmm, Mansour & Crichton vs Fusitu'a & Maumalo. I wonder what the Warriors game plan will be.

Counting on Johnson to deliver the kicks needed in a game that matters? We'll be sweet
I don't know that he needs to be too precise when we're fielding a couple of garden gnomes on the wings. Neither can jump, both are slow to turn and chase. Remember the last time these 2 were our wingers? They were badly found out.

To be honest every post I've read had different ideas on what should be our team. Most had DWZ at 1. Most also had Egan starting. Not many had Peach at 6 though and not many had Crichton in the side. We can only hope this works, but I fear otherwise.

One of them was found out. The other one caught a cold.

well I was a fan of Ciraldo before but a even bigger one now.. The safe option would be to pick the same side and let Grifen cop the cost.. He has made some changes that could fall flat but after the last 5 weeks changes are needed .Do the same thing get the same result .He cant change much in the style we play its not realistic to change much in a few weeks

Things are getting desperate.

Jokes aside I wonder how serious they are training.
At their peak 3 of those guys could boost this side for sure.

Ciro at his best though would be our worst forward by miles. So far his NRL coaching career looks similar to his playing career.

But he was fantastic for developing guys in 20s and NSW Cup. 2 weeks is not long at all to turn a season around. Especially as a rookie coach. Hopefully within the next 2 weeks he has worked miracles.

I'd have all of them right now over Crichton

DWZ at the back had to happen. Would rather keep the May/Cleary combo and would prefer Whare on the wing but I understand the decisions.

Looking forward to Egan providing normal service. Not throwing every second ball without looking.

Until Maloney is back there is no point trying to be fancy. Run 5, put up a bomb/force repeat set. Complete sets, don't give away dumb penalties. Hook 101.

I had it almost right.

Time for mass changes.

1. Egan starts on place of Katoa who goes to NSW Cup
2. CHN to NSW cup, not sure who the next one up is, but has to be better that CHN.
3. Kikau has to start form the bench. He looks too tired out there. He is not an 80 minute player.
4. Tamau to start, RCG to bench (for impact)
5. DWZ to fullback bring in Phillips/Chriton
6. Peach to #6
7. May to the bench (cover for hooker, half, lock)

They also leave their winds plenty

The issue is the FB doesn't kick, hooker on starting debut and a 5/8th that is ordinary with kicking... Pressure Cleary and we are in trouble ending our sets

I have seen Egan kick and kick well though. If Cleary wants to be worth big money he'll never get a better chance to prove he's worth it than this week.

A starting hooker makes 40 odd tackles a game. That and quick service will be higher priorities than kicking.

Cleary is at his best when taking on the line the risk is he does that then who kicks to end the set?
