It's not what I'd have done, but I can see the logic in it. Crichton had a few good games when he first came into grade this year, hopefully being dropped back to NSW Cup was the rocket that will solve his issues. Bigger issue is the halves. May was ordinary on the weekend, but Peachey was ordinary for the better part two months in the 6. I wasn't of the view that his work at fullback deserved all the crticism it got, however the real issue is that I think strengthening FB is being done at the cost of weakening 5/8. We'll see I suppose.

In more positive news, Katoa to reserves needed to happen. Looking forward to seeing what Egan can do over 80 minutes. Hopefully Fish's week off will have him chomping at the bit and Kikau making the trip is obviously enormous for us.

No more excuses for Ciraldo. He's had 3 weeks in charge now, the memory of Hook is fading and he's made changes like a big boy. It's time to see some results.

It's better than what we had although I probably would have kept May at 6 and Peach to bench but it's so good to see Ciro put the torch to the team.

Is it? Peachey's kicking last week and always is ordinary. Crichton isn't 1st grade quality. Better off putting Whare on the wing or something? What happens when Maloney is back another moving around of players?

Positional changes aside, if the team doesn’t change their mindset we will be having 3 disappointing losses to end our season.

The errors and penalties need to stop, completion rates need to be 90% instead of 30 and our forwards to dominate the middle of the field.
Everyone needs to put away the crabbing across field. Props, halves and even our wingers have been very guilty of it for weeks.

Glad to see peachy moved, and extra glad Egan finally gets a decent run.

Fullback is a more important position than wing. I don't want Crighton in the team but the decision is understandable. I'd rather May at 6 and Peach bench but again it's understandable after how they played on the weekend.

When Jimmy is back you put May to reserves and Peach to the bench.

What would you have done. I thought DWZ had to start at f/back
Not weakened 2 positions to strengthen one.

Fullback got stronger.

Our wing is weaker.
Our halves are weaker.

Crichton shouldn't have been an option at all. I would have shifted one of Blake or Whare to the wing (Peach at centre) before recalling Crichton.

May wasnt great against Knights. But atleast he and Cleary have a bit of a combination from lower grades and last year to build on.

Peachey is just another in a long line of temporary halves for Nathan to partner... only he doesnt actually help out with any of the hslves duties. It took peak Maloney form for him to work at 6 and he wasnt very good still.

Not a fan of Merrin getting promoted to the starting side either. After a whopping 55 metres against Knights I was hoping he was facing the axe.

Crichton haha. Peachey at 6 haha.... Maybe we have clocked out early this year?
100%

Do people not recall how little Peachey helped Maloney as a half? Or how shockingly bad Crichton was?

Im no fan of Whare or Blake shifting to wing. But our best back 5 available is without doubt a combination of DWZ, Mansour, Blake, Whare and Peachey.

life was so much easier when Dylan Edwards wasnt injured. we are really missing him because without him we either have 1. a somewhat specialised fullback (DWZ) with the worst winger (don't even have to spell his name) or 2. Not a fullback at all (Peachey) with a very good and specialised winger (DWZ). Edwards just being FB fixes this all
Or if Aekins were part of our top 30 ahead of one of the 29 second rowers we filled it with.

You need someone like Peachey starting against the top teams. When Maloney is back Not only will we have no spark from the back. We have an ordinary winger and a FB with probably 20 games back there..

2/3 are weak now with Peachey on the bench for Atleast half of the game. Atleast with Peachey we had 2 good wingers and he could attack all game

May was a fill in. Should concentrate on the rest because Maloney will take his spot anyway. It is like we don't want to build towards the finals

31 tackles in 38 minutes. I know defence isn't fashionable but it's not yet touch footy. Fortunately, even a rookie coach can see the value in defence. If Trent is going to be a tacking machine, he should be getting more minutes.

lol my hopes of winning the comp instantly go away whenever I see crichtons name in the 13. u unfortunately can't win a comp with a reserve grade winger, need to have players specialised in these positions.
