Hi Lovemedragon, I reckon Hunt tried so hard to get us over the line. He was constantly taking the line on to get to the stripe but being covered yesterday. He didn’t play that well though agreed. Contract talks definitely on his mind.

I agree with Hook on one matter; we are pretty decimated with suspensions ( two SOO forwards from the dodgy incident gradings review ) and season ending injuries to strike players.

Also, Sloan not doing much and simply looks skinny and small At the moment. Not death riding him, he was a lower grade prodigious talent And waiting for a breakout.
For a so called elite player like Hunt, contract talks should not play on his mind. What is he worried about, whether he is going to get paid $1m or 750k a season? If it was a journeyman or lower ranked player who might not get any contract and have to put food on the table for his family, then I get that he would have other things on his mind. But Hunt I am sure will find a club somewhere to pay him decent money if he does not renew with us.

If future income for Hunt is a worry, then with the money that he has been paid, if he has invested it wisely after buying his nice home, he should be doing ok for a while until he gets into something to tide him over until he eventually retires.

If Moga was a racehorse, there would have been a steward's enquiry after that farcical intercept non-try. It was like he only had a contract to run a total of 50 metres in a game and he'd reached his quota- and stopped. When Madden scored later, Moga was nowhere to be seen and didn't even try to run him down. He was gassed and gone for the game. It was left to Lomax to do the chasing.
How much do you pay a winger who can only dive over the line from about 5 metres out? Nothing in my book.

Too bad that that M in Moga wasn't an M for Morris (Brett). We just lack speed in positions where they are needed in the backs and even in the second row where some clubs have speed all over the field. It shows a lack of foresight and judgement. Even Rava lacks real speed. I don't think that he would have reached the try line just as Moga didn't.

I think it was Dino who said that we need speed. I'm saying we do as well but even more than what Dino was seeking. WE NEED SPEED, SPEED, SPEED and more SPEED. I don't think our team has speed.

We also need a couple of much bigger forwards who can bust the defensive line and off load and tackle legally as hard as the man of steel.

Come on Dragons' recruiters. I am not asking for too much as they are gettable if you tried hard enough!!

Absolutely right DD- I've said it- we've all said it- our wingers are slow- and in the case of Moga, his knees are shot and should never have been signed. Then there is Matt Faingai- a centre, filling in for a winger. I've resisted having someone like Gould coming in as Supremo because of the blunders he's made, but it has to be said that at the Bulldogs, he's pinched the best available coach and he's attracting the best available players. Meanwhile, our players, except Hunt who like Davey Crockett at the Alamo wants to go down swinging with good ol Hook, all want to go the other way.

It was comical watching Moga run. And to top it all off, he should have taken 1 step infield when he realised he might get mowed down short of the line as we would gave had a full set if six. But no, he had to get bundled into touch. Just dumb.

I wonder what happened to DINO? He was a regular on here and his posts did emphasize speed and more of it. He was completely right yet some posters ridiculed him for it. Ramsay has plenty one or two others are not slow, but in the main the speed factor is not particularly evident. No way can the top sides be matched in this department by the current team. The outlook looks bleak.

Yes, I often wonder too about where Dino is KDS. Maybe he has become extinct just like the DINOsaurs! Sorry!

Tigers lost that game big time. Saints were lucky. I really cannot believe Saints are 10th. Goes to show how poor teams are from 10th down. Bird has played 2 great games but has an error or 2 in him that is for sure. Moga running on a treadmill. How bad is it having a slow winger. If only Sloan had that chance he would have blitzed them and scored under the post.

Hunt was terrible. Why cant they give Bud at least 1 run at 7 and Hunt at 9. Frustrating. Even if they give him a half. Hunt has had a great season but it looks like he will impact the Dragons future if he is re-signed and Saonts will not be playing finals footy whilst he is at 7 but at 9 their chances will improve significantly.
