Yeah we got this.....If we turn up for the 1st half.

Dragons seem to be giving cowboys a run tonight, so hopefully cows still win but not impressively.

Don't have a good record in NQ tho.

I'd tip the cowboys, but have hope

Our record in Townsville isn't great, but it's better than Brooky. We're 6/12 with an average score of 22-24.

It's a myth our record up there is no good, to me it seems like we win every second game we play up there.

Well I just looked it up, we won our last game there, f**k.

Were f**ked, simple as that fellas

And no, I'm not doing the reverse psychology in the game thread bit. I genuinely believe we are cooked given how good the Cows are

I didn't think they were that good tonight. Sure, they won, but their defence at times was shambolic.

If we muscle up in defence in the first 20 we're a good chance.

One thing at a time.

First thing - start well! We seem to win the games in which we do that.

Two things I'd like to see from us against the Cowboys:

1. Jonathan Thurston make twice as many tackles as he had to tonight (15).
2. Kade Snowden make at least twice as many hit ups as he did yesterday (7).

Oh, and a good win to really set up a massive clash against the Rabbits at home. Imagine the build up if we have a win this week and they lose to Parra.

Wow.

Heading up there tomorrow. Hope my away trip record doesn't become 0-2 after this weekend.

Heading up there tomorrow. Hope my away trip record doesn't become 0-2 after this weekend.

I started my Away career with a loss back in 2002 (Rnd 26 against the Dragons).

Since then I've been 9-2, with one being the GP loss to the Sharks in 2005.

Lets hope you have similar luck to me.

Stop going too far ahead big fella! We've gotta kick-off within the field first (or catch the ball from kick off) before we start thinking about anything crazy!

Tbh I'm not a fan of McManus walking back in. And for those of you that don't know I am one of his bigger fans on here.

He better have a damn good game or I'll be disappointed in Bennett.

Kev's shittest game was last week and he still didn't do much wrong.

I'm torn about Jimmy coming back in. He has given us consistent and quality service for a long time, so in that regard he has earned some loyalty. On the other hand given his showings in the top grade this year Kev is desperately unlucky.

We will mis Kev's attack but the Cowboys defence isn't anything special, we should have tries in us regardless. Hopefully Jimmy can come up with his best defensive game with Tate and Graham coming at him.

It is a shame. It took so long to give Vuna a run of games, and when Jimmy got injured we finally did, and he was a class or two above, with the best strike rate in the league (even outscored Aku for games played) and all outside Sau!.... Not to mention his kick returns. I wouldn't be surprised (pure speculation) that if we gave him a crack earlier or he at least felt his form would be rewarded in being first picked, we could have kept a superstar, who still had improvement in him.

For me we risk this happening again, and it would be very very disappointing, but it is early days yet.
