Means that you'll defend your team to the death and think that every player who plays for us is an immortal in the making. I mean, you're still working out ways we can make the finals from here...deluded much?

Get off your high horse dude

I said it's still possible for us to make it, never once said we will or there's a good chance of it.

I was really defending Tyrone last night aye..

You're talking shit, not sure why you felt the need to do it.

I think people may be being a bit harsh on Tyrone. Several other of our players were made to look like fools defensively. His pass after the line-break was stupid though.

The most disappointing thing for me in hindsight was that Uate didn't score last night. He's still 2 behind Barba for top try-scorer.

Roberts never ever stands out in a game as dominant. A halfback has to be the man who finishes in your top 5 players on performance ,as a minimum, each week. Roberts is not at that level.

Yeah me too. He had a purple patch there and showed some talent. He has had how many games at 7 in his NRL career? Hmmm maybe he needs time???

Where was all the criticism of Tyrone by some people here over the past two months??

Why would we need to publicly criticise Tyrone with his effort last week when it was blindly obvious to everyone. Kicked out on the full at the beginning of the game and missed 6 tackles. It was a terrible performance along with a host of others

He has been criticised quite a lot over the last two months.

Check your facts.

Some one who knows his footy.

If you are going to win the comp, you need a quality and consistent number 7.

Bullshit.

I wrote the last two months. Criticism of Roberts has been minimal in that time.

You fail again.

Whilst i couldn't be bothered to read every game day thread over the last 2 months but if you bothered to check your flimsy facts, he was criticised after the dogs game.

Now that was round 22 and we are in round 25. Unless we play a game every 3 weeks, my calculations are that it was only 3 weeks ago.

shane perry & matt orford disagree & then you have these other "quality" halves either making/winning the grand final in the last ten years

(6) Daniel Mortimer & Jeff Robson (7)
Justin Smith
Sean Rudder
Brett Finch
Ben Hornby
Braith Anasta
Mitchell Pearce

None of these are quality dominant halves yet all made the grand final with some winning it

quit while your behind

Wtf? You don't need a dominate halfback to win shit. Everyone in the team has a role and if they play thier roles we'll win games. We relied on a dominate halfback for years and wher'd that get us?

I think Tyrone is the future knights halback. He has ticker which i like about him. Made some bad calls on D and in attacking but i'm sure he'll be a better player for it.

His chase and tackle on Tate was gold. He didn't give up and saved a try.

I loved his show behind the back and go when he made that linebreak. That's something our halves don't do often enough.

Snowden been average after coming back. Can you blame him? He just got back after weeks out. He'll pick it up next season lol...

McKinnon brain explosion was because the guy on the ground was tesiting and holding onto McKinnon's leg. Doesn't justify what McKinnon did but i like aggressive forwards. He is gonna be real good in te future. Has an air of Simpson about him.

I was talking about number 7 and you need to do a bit more research before you again make yourself look foolish.

Matt Orford - Dally M Medal Winner, Storm Player of the year in 2004
Ben Hornby - Australian International and State of Origin Player
Brett Finch - State of Origin Player
Mitchell Pearce - State of Origin Player

BTW Justin Smith, Sean Rudder were not no. 7 and neither was Anasta who btw was also an Australian International Player in case you didn't realise.

I'll play this game. It got us two premierships and regularly into the semis over a 10 year period??

But I think you missed the point Yosh- we don't need a dominant halfback, we need someone that is consistent and has a bit of quality about them. Unfortunately, it takes a fairly special player to have those characteristics in their first season so I'm not quite ready to give up on Roberts just yet.

which is why i bolded the 7's & labeled them both to distinguish between them

& you need to watch more footy if you think pearce, finch & orford are quality players & hornby who is the best of that bunch is/was just solid at best

Anasta is and always has been overated

how many people do you need to show you are wrong to finally realise it? the only one making themselves look foolish is you
