My old mans not happy, been supporting this rubbish since 1967. I was dumb founded when whare actually started at 1, what the? Wallace should never have played the last two weeks. How can you tackle with a broken hand, stupidity. We played with such attacking flare last year now it is gone. Merrin and Tamou should f off back to where they came from because clearly they can't lay a platform for our backs to work off. Waste of cap space, pussy forwards. If they put in such a shit performance next week who ever we play will put 50 on us. Hope I'm wrong. End rant.

If anything,I want to see Merrin trimmed down a bit. Looks like he has balooned out a bit.

And please Panthers.com,spare us any vids this week about how we are going to perform next game, and how shit the other side is.

Peachy's rant was as obnoxious as the Panthers' "It's Our Time" slogan.

Sounds like some shit Gus would have come up with.

Merrin was a gun last year and with all hes had to deal with this year i can forgive. Tamou is a straight up bum
Difference is that what he is going through is public.Players have relationship issues all the time.Thing with Trent's was,it was hung up to dry in public. It became an issue it not needed to be.

Exactly was, this year he has been a plodder. Latu as well. No team fears our forward pack. Our backs have been getting us out of trouble all year.

In a game of few positives and certainly no positivity ever gonna happen here I will try to shed some positivity.

Given we were 22-0 down after the first set of the second half and under tremendous pressure given the consequences of losing by 36 or more I thought the players dug deep to hang in there despite a rampant Manly.

We have qualified for the semi's so that is kinda a positive even if I sorta wish we didn't. Probably only extending the misery by one week.

Despite many on here being critical of Nathan Cleary, and yes he does get tackled late in our sets too often but the kid was one of our few who can hold there heads high tonight. Never ever, ever have a crack at a 19 year old kid who gives his all as Nathan does. There would be others you can certainly have a dig at but not Nathan.

More positivity incoming, there's been worse round 26 performances and those clubs ended up having a good finals campaign.

A week past the controversy and a brand new competition starts.

Bring on the finals.

You only need to look at 2005.

The Panthers gave the Wests Tigers a thumping in the final round of the regular season. The rest, as they say in the classics, is history.

Hey, didn't we just make the finals for the third time in four years? Isn't this what we have been wanting for decades?
You just don't build this overnight. Being consistently in the finals is step one, making preliminary finals/grand finals consistently is step two.
Let's be proud and loud and stop denigrating everyone!

I sorta expected today. The result didn't surprise me at all. We are going to have to live the fact a lot of our players whom we expected so much from and not quite as good as we had hoped they were.

It was not unrealistic to think a year older, a year more experienced we would have improved on 2016.

The reality is however very few of our players performed better in 2017 than they did in 2016. For this I think the coach has to accept the greater share of responsibility.

The only players who I think can look at themselves in the mirror and be happy with they way they have performed in 2017 would be Dylan Edwards, Nathan Cleary, CHN (first NRL season) and perhaps RCG & Isaah Yeo.

There will be much discussion moving forward and obviously given the doubts around Moylan's future some pain is going to be felt.

Yes and that in terms of making finals is our best 4 year period since 1988-1991.

We need to aim higher than just scraping into the finals of course but I am happy we didn't get flogged by 38 and will still make the finals.

I think that has been a pretty disappointing season in a lot of ways but it's actually progress for a club like ours to have a disappointing season still be a top 8 season

Rein was named isp hooker of the year. I thought he looked good.

Wallace gives away penatlies and is finished. Blake has been woefull the last few games. In finals but I expect it to be short lived.
If edwards and moylan are back obviously chances improve a little.

I said at the time it was a mistake to bring Peter Wallace straight back into the side after his injury given the very good job Mitch Rein did. Nothing against Peter Wallace but it was a mistake by the coach and too late to change it now.

Waqa Blake woeful last week even worst today. I would stick with him given he can occasionally be an attacking weapon but today was bad and Hook may go the safer defensive option in Whare for next week.

Hopefully Moylan is fit enough even 80/90 per cent fit to return next week at fullback. Nothing to lose really.

Forwards were poor tonight providing no platform for the halves.
RCG topped the forwards with 101 metres.

They said that about your mob in 2009 after they lost to the Dragons 37-0 in the final round and had to play them again the following week. Rugby League is a funny game. You just never know.
