Using 2 stats, whilst ignoring countless others, to rubbish someone elses opinion simply proves that you are a keyboard warrior with no perception of rugby league other than what you download off high speed broadband.

If there are countless other stats which somehow prove Hindmarsh is a better player go for it.

I plucked those two out because in my opinion, Menzies was INSTRUMENTAL to both premierships his team achieved in that timeframe, and 180 tries - THE SECOND MOST IN AUSTRALIAN FIRST GRADE HISTORY - speaks for itself as a record!

As I said, I can hack if people want to think they're equal but I think it's stupid to suggest Hindmarsh was better.

Couldn't help but laugh at the morons in today's paper, Brisbane based Eels fans who have "blown 1000 dollars" on flights accom and tickets for the game which they now can't attend.

You were the one suggesting the # of premierships as a sign of greatness.

A couple stats in Hindy's favour - most tackles in ARL/NRL history, and 4 Dally 2nd Rower of the year awards(beaver has 2 during their concurrent careers). Both stats are probably more individual that try scoring and premierships.

The difference is that I respect your right to an opinion that Beaver is better, but you are such an arrogent merkin that you rubbish anyone with an opinion different to your own, even when prefaced With the fact that it was an opinion tainted by blue and gold glasses.

They don't and if they didn't get it they'd have no right to whinge. I'd prefer to watch Sharks v Cowboys or even (despite my bias) Manly v Titans. Both involve a QLD team which is the prerequisite for the match being shown in QLD at 7:30 and both would offer a greater spectacle. Sharks v Cows could decide a top 4 spot and Manly v Titans could decide a top 4 spot and a top 8 spot.

And yeah, you might want to watch those teams play, but I would bet Eels-Dragons would rate higher than either of them. Low positions have never stopped 9 showing sydney clubs before. Hell, we've had several free to air games since we have been 16th.

This I agree on.

I wasnt 100% sure if they would play on either Sunday or Saturday, but it didnt bother me much. So why couldnt they stay till Sunday night?

I understand the situation, they want to see Hindy's last game, and I actually felt sorry for them. Until I saw the bit about AFL.

He shouldnt have said that, now its just make him look like he wants his head on the paper and talking rubbish.

Seriously if he was a true supporter, he would still go and change his booking, or still watch it on TV.

On the topic of scheduling, I wish they could let us know earlier, but unfortunately with the TV ratings it probably wont happen. :x

Your evidence that Eels-Dragons would rate higher than Sharks v Cowboys?

As you admit, you've had plenty of FTA games prior (8 in fact), so why should you get a 9th whilst a side competing for the top 4 would only get 2.

Maybe if the Eels would win a match on FTA they might get shown a bit more. Lets be honest here of all teams to have a gripe, the Sharks have the biggest case as they are sitting top 5. Yet the Eels who are 16th have had EIGHT FTA games, yes that is right, EIGHT. I would rather watch a side that fights for each other in the Sharks rather than a side that just gives up.

I wish supporters would stop whinging about draws. I hate them as well but you can't please everyone. If anything putting this game at 7pm is the smartest idea as all the other games involve semi finalists and they need more time to recover, all the Eels and Dragon will have to recover for is Mad Monday!

Yet the Eels who are 16th have had EIGHT FTA games, yes that is right, EIGHT. I would rather watch a side that fights for each other in the Sharks rather than a side that just gives up.

Completely agree with this. Not only would i much rather watch a good team in the Sharks over the hapless Eels, it is also hurting the bottom line of the sharks as they don't get paid as much from the sponsors. Now i know everyone hates how the Broncos get all the Friday slots, personally although i love watching the boys play most friday nights i think it would make for a much fairer competition if they showed all teams the same amount.

However unlikely it is to happen especially with channel 9 ruining pretty much every sport imaginable that they get. Please help us if they get the rights again next year.
