I'm a firm believer in dropping and promoting players based on performance as deserved. That's why the twgo thing and then the McLean thing is weird. It is an inconsistent application of it. Tago was borderline the worst defender in the comp for a long time. He came good when it mattered yes and the players and coaches knew this and it was admitted publicly.

That's my real issue why is one guy getting the benefit of the doubt when multiple other players aren't.

Edit: tago is one of the best centres in the game at his best in my opinion so no this isn't hate.

That is why Tago and Martin are the most frustrating guys in the squad. Both could be top 10 players in the comp on their day.

Cleary was disgusting in defence last week. He needs to improve, he’s not been great for a while now.

I am not giving anyone on the right a pass mark, That try they scored ( before Edwards was taken off ) was not NRL standard.

Cleary atleast can put that to 1 side with the ball, that is his saving grace.

Its tough to get up for every match. Especially for a team that has experienced our kind of highs.

5 straight grand finals into Vegas. Then they go up against a NSW cup squad. Even worse they know the week after they play the 2024 grand finalists in Melbourne.

They were absolutely crap against the Roosters but motivating these guys each week must be getting really tough. Cracks appeared last season for sure. 2020-2024 I'd say 2024 was in last place for overall performance across the year. Not sure that changes in 2025 all that matters is we win it in the big games (E.g. Tomorrow).
