It was a 50/50 and there were plenty of similar calls in the game.

Just seems like you're slinging whatever mud you can.

Crocker's late hit on Wallace although placed on report was a sin bin worthy act. It shades in comparison to reed sin binning where he was merely getting back to marker position.

Apologies that was the Hodges no try. Still gave Bronx momentum though that they didn't deserve. Rabbitohs should have been on attack not defending. The try then came 4 minutes after the penalty.

You're reaching there.........

Klein & James put in one of the most inept refereeing performances you'll ever see in a long time. It was a credit to a great team performance to walk away with the win.

Gillette again was outstanding for mine. Ben Hannant.......what an effort in chasing down Reynolds (a f*cking halfback!!).

and last ......but certainly not least, Peter Wallace, who was instrumental in steering the Broncos to a well deserved victory.

3. Gillette
2. Hannant
1. Wallace

Special mention to Sam Thaiday who IMO played a great captain's knock. Whoever commented that they wish Sam would whinge more to the refs........please

we don't need a "Paul Gallen" for a skipper. Better to let the football do the talking.

p.s

Spewing about Yow Yeah........a major blow to the team.

haha... that was me. I agree my comments were a bit harsh. But I think it is important for a captain to be able to talk to a referee. It puts the refs on notice to make sure the calls go both ways (could have worked well for the so called "blocker", where Reed should have gotten a penalty if the refs were being consistent). But its mostly to slow the play down when you're team is on the back foot.

My main problem with Thaiday being captain is that he is slightly lacking in the brain department. I don't know how many times he drops the ball just trying to get up, and tries to throw these stupid offloads. Whenever he has the ball my heart is in mouth. He also can't make decisions.... "I'm going to give the ball to McCullough, and he'll tell you what to do".

At the end of the day my comments are rather picky, but valid I think.

I think you're a little quick to criticise GTB but you do make some fair points. Sam was lucky to get away with a couple loose carries and that offload was silly. I believe we can all agree when I hope Sam is able to build on this performance as there were some positives to take out of his game.

I've been trying to decide my votes since Friday without sitting on the fence. If I had it my way 5-6 players would receive votes but I want to make it easy on whoever is counting...which could possibly be myself. :p

3. Josh Hoffman - Safe as a house at the back and brought it in attack scoring an important try and having a hand in another.
2. Josh McGuire - Gave us plenty of go forward and rolled his sleeves up in defence. Just hope he spends some time on his passing drills, couple of efforts killed whatever momentum we had.
1. Matt Gillett - Would have been my MotM if it wasn't for a couple of poor choices in attack and defence. Truly inspirational in the first half and he well and truly deserved the try he scored. After a slow start last year, Matt really looks switched onto start 2012.

Special Mentions: Basically everyone particularly Wallace, Hannant, Thaiday, Te'o & Hunt.

Everyone should be proud of this performance, up against all kinds of adversity and to fight back against very inspired opposition was extremely encouraging. It may not have been a quality 80 but it was definitely up there as one of the most courageous and that's the type of footy club I want to support.

And boy if Brisbane aren't one of the most courageous clubs of our time then I don't know who is.

Whoops forgot to vote...

Um, so many deserving players.

3. Hoffman. He was simply excellent all game.
2. Gillette. So many individual moments for him and really lifted the team.
1. Hannant. It was down to him or McGuire and they was barely anything between them. Hannant gets it for that tackle. He is 100% heart that guy and a gentleman to boot.

Honourable mentions for Hunt (gotta be pushing a starting position... Still would like to see Baptiste getting some game time though), Wallace and Thaiday.

Anderson looked like he can fill the position during origin this year. Mistake aside, good runs and great defence. Pleasantly surprised.

3. Hannant - IMO our best player so far this season
2. Wallace - really starting to step up
1. Gillette - It is so good having a bloke like this coming off the bench

Great win - the whole game I felt like the Broncs were going to lose because the calls were against us, but we pulled it out. Great to see a come-from-behind victory from such a young team!
