You’ve missed the update that was posted previously

The negotiation now isn’t about paying a license fee that’s a given now (new investors are covering)

The big issue is pvl also wants the wa govt to up its contribution by 120 million

Thats what they are negotiating and whether the nrl itself has to tip in funds as well

Perth & PNG will happen shortly. Each paying big license fee.

Afl been happy for Tasmanian taxpayer to pay millions for hawks and north Melbourne to play games there

Finances of tassie are good then lol

Tasmania keeps throwing money at them to play there. Its not exactly a new thing. That funding will redirect to a Tassie team in 2029.

They weren't a bottom 4 team, you said it, there's your pessimistic dumb ass answer.. and they did win it, twice, which is more than the titans and warriors, and the same as the Cowboys =all expansion areas.. sounds like you hate the idea of expansion rather than just the bears... no one said Perth needs to win the premiership immediately to be a success, just not be spooning for its existence

Bringing back the Bears is not expansion. Anyone who supports forcing another location to take a North Sydney club is the one that hates the idea of expansion.

Where did I say it kept them out of the bottom 4?

Until Perth, PNG and NZ 2 can develop and elite spine they will join the Tigers in the bottom 4.

Partnering with the Bears means they can attract NSW based schoolboys. They are in the Perth System but can finish school with their mates.

This increases their player pool and improves the chances they can develop and elite team.

All about getting the team developed.

You know just because a player plays juniors for a club, doesn't mean that they have to play NRL for that club right? Why would a North Sydney kid be more likely to go and live in Perth than a kid from Campbelltown or Cronulla or Parramatta?

As for the franchise fee, You realise clubs get their grant as their share of the revenue?

Perth comes in shares in that revenue yet hasn't contributed to it, You don't think the other partners will have an issue with that?

Using current figures for the NRL grant. $15m a year. Means during the 1st broadcast period is in the side gets $75m as a share of the revenue...

Where does the side sit if they pay a zero franchise fee and gets no grant until the next broadcast deal?

So the Dolphins don't get a share of the grant then? They didn't contribute, so they don't get access to it right? Why are people talking about how it will get waived for NZ2 or the next Brisbane team? Why don't they have to buy a share of the grant?

Clearly you are on the wrong thread, begone troll

That's not success
After losing halves they’ve produced like katoa luai and burton buying a ring-in for a couple of years to continue the dynasty isn’t a bad thing

Or if the dolphins do get hunt then make a play for katoa back

Stop shifting goal posts

The 12 million is for grassroots not to make the club financially secure

And it was a quote from pvl about tassie
Voices in your head again? The only mention of tassie in yesterdays article was this one from the journalist.

“It is understood the NRL is considering emulating the expansion model deployed by the AFL, whose 19th team in Tasmania will receive $144m in funding — $12m for a 12-year period.”

if it’s all gping to grassroots why are you going on about WA NRL club needing if for financial certainty? Spending $12mill a year on grass roots doesn’t make Perth less of a financial risk lol

Panthers are going for 6 gfs in a row though. Want a graph?
Are they? season hasn't started, need a calendar
...Never mentioned that we had won them all still competing in 5 GFs in a row is a pretty high success rate, how'd did the Raiders do last time they were in one?
