Jenkins was the 4th choice fullback. Reserve grade fullback Fonua also unavailable. Whilst our position on the table is not great we have played the other three top 4 teams from last year. So there should be easier games ahead.

do you drop Mclean for Jenkins Casey got better as the game went on, but cant help but feel Jenkins outplayed Mclean overall.

would rather we stick with Cole & Talagi as halves again, but if Laurie is out then Talagi has to play 1, im not against Jenkins playing 1, but its not his regular position. Toelau plays 7 if Talagi moves to FB.

14 role - Sommerton to relieve Kenny, cant help but feel there would be a bit of Xfactor with Sommerton potentially feeding Laurie, Cole & Talagi
He did, it also comes with age and his size.

1. Laurie
2. Bizza
3. Tago
4. Jenkins / McLean
5. Alamoti
6. Talagi
7. Toelau
8. Sorensen
9. Kenny
10. Smith
11. Garner
12. Martin
13. Yeo

14. Cole
15. Leota
16. Henry
17. Papali’i

Alamoti must stay wing. Jenkins impressed in a few areas and would edge out Casey for centre IMO. Though Casey is better at centre than wing. So either way should be fine.

But if Laurie is out. No way Jenkins at fullback again. He looked lost so many times defensively. And his positioning was awful

Blaize looked horrible under the high ball when he played for Parra last year at fullback. But if he has worked on this he will add a new dimension to the attack. I'd say he has more flair then Edwards

I'm not convinced on Blaize and Casey, but I'm sure I'll change my mind in 4-6 months. We really don't have many options these days but Kepaoa and Jenkins are better options. Shame we chose May or Sunia last year.

1. Blaize (no other real choice)
Wings. To'o, Alamoti
Centres. Jenkins, Tago
Halves. Cole, toelau
Props. Smith, Henry
Lock. Yeo
Hooker. Kenny (Id wish Sommerton would come on after 20mins and Kenny goes to prop)
Edges. Sorrenson, Martin (There's gotta be a time when Martin goes to prop)
14. Schneider
15. Papali'i
16. Leota
17. Garner.

While Jenkins did well I really hope he is not there this week. I know Ivan wont but I’d like to see cole and talagi again. Cole did really well after Nathan went down and talagi has that spark.

Agree. It’s a good opportunity to give Cole the chance to have more responsibility forced on him. He did really well with it last week, way better than I imagined he could as first receiver, although having Yeo helps.

I don’t think we’re going to be the same physical blitzkrieg as we’ve been the last 2 years since Api/Kikau left and we lost that dynamism but getting two halves and two edges firing and combining at once for the first time in this dynasty can evolve us further.

Any word on Laurie?
