LU is mostly for trolling and having a laugh but this is a brilliant postOver 22000 tackles made in the first 4 rounds, and 13 charges for high tackles.
Thats 0.058% of tackles.
And we're gonna punish each of them with 10minutes in the bin? Get the f**k out of here.
How about we assess each tackle on it's merits and act accordingly?
Every time the NRL has tried to 'make things black and white' it's been a mess.

Its a dangerous sport. Time to man up and move on
That is the NRL way.
You should see the shit they have brought in for junior footy because of a few dickhead parents
Mate I refereed League for a long ass time, I've seen it.
When I first got pulled into the junior rep squad, I was required to go to an Under 15s carnival. And U15s still played under the 'Safe Play Code'. And by the letter of the law, all and any breaches of the Safe Play Code must be penalised. I had many arguments with the coaches about this - but when push came to shove, I did what I was told.
So I had 3 instances in a single carnival game (12min halves), where there was 'foul play' under the Safe Play Code in the lead up to tries.
1 was flinging the player to the groud by his jersey
1 was pushing a player over the sideline
1 was a late tackle
All 3 happened in the same play as tries were scored. All 3 my touch judges ran onto the field. Had they happened in general play, I could have just penalised the player - no real harm done.
But all 3 players had to be sin-binned, because it happened in a try scoring play - and you can't restart the game with a penalty after a try has been scored.
I had to be escorted from the field by security. Coaches, players, parents were all ropable.
I packed up my shit, and drove the 3 hours home to the Central West after one game. Told them to jam it.
Unclutch those pearls
Don't mind the team list seems the best we've got under the circumstances BUT Eisenhuth being on the bench says there's no props worth a damn in cup like the discussion some others had the other day which is a shame. Not insulting Eisenhuth just a comment on the depth.
If the rest of the side is absolutely firing then Huth's 15mins doesn't hurt us too badly but at the moment f**k no, Especially with To'o out. Our props are actually going to have to work hard.Don't mind the team list seems the best we've got under the circumstances BUT Eisenhuth being on the bench says there's no props worth a damn in cup like the discussion some others had the other day which is a shame. Don’t touch the head. This means any slight touch to the head a player will just lay down. They should have included any player that doesnt stand after the tackle immediately goes for a HIA. Its just going to slow the game down and every club will do all they can to get a player sent off for 10.
A joke.
Yeah good one, it’s a contact sport. Players are going to lay down I promise you that. Accidents will happen when players run 100 miles an hour at each other, incidental contact will occur. Yet a grub like Reed Mahoney gets away with deliberate grub acts, that’s what the NRL need to clamp down on.Don’t touch the head.
Not really how this sport works or should work.Don’t touch the head.
