Round 5 v Parramatta Eels

We miss Zac (the winger) more than any of our other defectors from last year. His yardage has not been replaced, nor have we replaced the constant aerial threat he gives us on last tackle. There were a couple of decent bombs on the weekend and we just weren't going up for them. He's a big loss but yeah, hopefully we smash them

That last play option of bomb for Lomax paid off less than 1 in 10 times and nearly always ended in Lomax knocking on because the defence knew what was coming 5 minutes before it happened and got plenty of guys around where the ball would land. We now have other options on the last just need to work out what works best. The spread for Val's first Dragons try was a beauty. Some of the tries we've scored so far this year have obviously come from training drills coming off. Ilias and Kylie need to work on it of course, especially on getting in some good line attacking kicks.
But I'm glad Lomax is gone, a whining, overpaid one trick pony with the worst hands in the league.

I disagree with you. Yes, aerial threat is missing though with him in the side, We only looked for him every fifth tackle option. Without him in the side we are quite dangerous on both edges.

Contesting those bombs and conceding a knock on is not materially different to letting them catch it- except the fact that sometimes you do catch it! There were a couple of them in the Cows-Raiders games from either side. Tyrell is an athlete, he can leap, I'd love to see him have a crack at it.

Agree with the rest though. Our attack looks nice. Gutho has been a huge part of that

2 predicted teams came up on news today. One source says Lawrie to replace Guler but on bench, and other one has Sele instead.

God I cross my eyes badly if Lawrie being selected. Lawrie is no match to the intensity and energy of those new guys. Seriously we need 1 more junior to join. Loko Tonga to debut.

Do yourself a favour. Don’t look at any selected teams prior to 4pm on the Tuesday. That is the real selection, anything before that is just some joker making shit up. They put Lawrie and Adele just because they know the names. Having said that it is possible Lawrie gets picked just because we are entering musical chairs phase in finding a middle.

I know, I just like giving it to him. That said, I don't think he makes the Origin side as a centre.

All were playing at the time on Saturday and really need Su'a and Suli to push through.
