I think you'll find it was Newcastle when Willy and Sims were in their pack and Ben Creagh our leader.
And our retaliation or reply......crickets
Lets not bring up our fearless leader again, last time it had about 10 pages of replies!!!!!!!!

The team needs to lift big time against the Bulldogs. They have been playing much better in last few weeks and delight in sticking it to us at critical times in our season. Last years abysmal performance at Fan Day, Lance Thompson and cementing top 4 was unforgivable. The resulting meltdown by Fans was warranted and for me was just about lowest point as a Dragons supporter ever.
I’ll be there so they better be on fire to roll those Dogs!!!

Just saw the 1985 grand final highlights on the nrl site.
Gee l really dislike the Dogs.
No wonder l couldn't stand Farrar coaching our team.

I can still vividly remember the day.
A few of us spent the entire day at the Georges River Sailing club from 10am till being pouring out of the club after the game.

With all three grades un the grand finals, l remember the signs.... One down, two to go..... Two down, one to go!

Lost count how many liquid pain killers l had that day but it still hurts after all these years.

C'om Saints, beat those Doggies!

After kicking a decisive field goal, Farrar was never going to be accepted coaching this great club.

I was there too as a 9 year old. I also had my 6 and 4 year old brothers with me who I had to mind as my father had to organize the dragon mascot for the day. The guy behind us spilt his beer on my brothers head. That brother goes for sharks.

Yep, I was there too as a 13 year-old sitting near the stairs of the Ladies Stand. Other than literally going off my nut after “Slippery” scored, there wasn’t much else to celebrate. In fact, I recall getting roused at from my mother because I had the audacity of taking my St. George jumper off in the car on the way home.

Some things stay with you forever.

Maybe I’m a bit slow on the upkeep but does the team have three captains?

What I remember most about that day was that we made the GF in all 3 grades. We won under 23s vs parra, won reserve grade against canberra and I was already celebrating first grade before having my heart ripped out with that loss.
Did you know that a dragons player actually featured in all 3 grades that day? Ahh the good old days.

4 if you count Widdop with McInnes, Graham and Friz.
A lot of teams do this now with their "senior playing group". I'd prefer to just pick one captain the boys can get behind.

I've always believed it best to have on captain and one vice captain. Both of these leaders should have an influence on the on-field performance of their team making decisions according to the game plan and what they see in front of them at the time. I would love to see these two leaders in discussion during stoppages during a game rather than a waterboy telling players what the boss water boy wants them to do.
