One thing I will mention is that IC never changes the game plan. You can criticise Luai, Aekins and the rest of our squad for playing boring, predictable football but that’s what IC does week in, week out.
The game plan was excellent. The game was played in exactly the manner we needed it to in order to win. It's just that as the second half went on Parra got a run of possession and were able to wear our defence down.

Well how many of Edwards tries were scored backing up through the middle?

Yep, Edwards is fitter and faster, he is there in support a lot more often. In those pre-season vids Knowles said Edwards was in the top five support runs for last season. Edwards also tries to get those balls out to Whare and To’o a lot more often, he isn’t much better at it though. Aekins seems slow to react at times, like bounce that was horrible for him last night and he was coming across from the other side of the field but after the bounce it was like it went in slow motion, Aekins could have tried to dive and knock it away or something. I thought they try was created by browns run the play before so it’s not on Aekins but he just didn’t show the desperation you would expect from any fullback at this level no matter if it’s your first choice or your backup.

Not just him but Crichton’s tries have come from him supporting in the middle so I don’t see why Ivan hasn’t let Aekins support

Yeah not all on him but he shouldn’t of been as fatigued as the others etc. should of done better

Must admit it was ironic that it was Blake who did all the damage in the second half, especially after the rubbishing he got on these boards.

Wow what a game. Was hard to work when that game was on.
I have trouble understanding how so many "fans" have so many bad things to say about the current roster.
We went toe to toe with the premiership favourites and of not for a bad bounce we probably would have won.

Jlthe biggest thing I seen was poor critta hasn't been man handled like Blake did and that scared him a little. But that's Blake. He did that when he played for us.
We will be top 5 this year I truly believe it.

It's going to be a great year I think.
I was really happy with the effort last night. We all loved Crichton earlier in the season when he was scoring tries. He is very young and will only get better and I'm sure he learnt from his mistakes. A lucky bounce won the game. With that same effort every week we win most games.

The issue I have is once Capewell went down in the 1st then should of used Plan B

He has always had that ability, unfortunately he saved his best parra game so far for us. And really we should’ve shut at least one of those down, he took advantage of some really bad defence.

Most Parra fans would agree that yesterday’s game was the most influential he’s ever been. Consistent at best, living up to the hype as a strike centre? No.

Tamou should not be captain you can't have your captain not leading by example and sitting on the bench for half an hr when decisions need to be made.Give the captaincy to Cleary or yeo.
The Penrith captaincy has long been a poisoned chalice. You mess with it you can only cause problems.

Doesn’t have to be about the hype. Our backline would be much better right now with him in it, rather than paying for him to play elsewhere.

If that's happening it's just insanity. Unless there's something we don't know about which seems like it may be the case.

I thought this was common knowledge? We paid part of his salary last year & this year.

RCG we’re paying for a couple more years.

DWZ we just paid last year.
I've heard it mentioned by the likes of Rothfield but that doesn't necessarily mean it is so.
What it means if it is, is the club wanted them gone. All of them. Reg and Dallin I can understand to some degree, they were bludging a bit (a fair bit in the case of RCG), but Blake was a matchwinner outside Kikau, although his form last year was down before his injury.

Rcg is off the books after this year I’ve heard from the media and I think Blade may have said it also, we paid a lot of it this year to get him off the books completely.

Blake was having issues last year and apparently did something that got a lot players pissed at him.

He wanted out it’s that simple, and on the form he was showing for us last season it was a good move for us to release him.
